Carmichael Falls Walk

Once you find the walking path, watch out for snakes 🐍 as you pass through the longer grass you'll find a will worn path down to a viewing platform, you might even see this dangling strip of bark swinging like it's floating in the air.
Late summer didn't have a great volume of water flowing over the edge, but don't mistake the first little rumble of a drop to be the actual falls. Walk a further 5mins down the path to see the proper falls

Easy walk, spectacular vistas & a rewarding waterfall at the end of the trail.

Lovely walk through alpine snow and gum trees. Waterfall was half frozen. Beautiful. Bit of a hike back up some stairs, but worth it.

Decent walk

Moderate trail down to an almost hidden waterfall worth dipping your feet in.

Nice little walk but steep though. Wear some sturdy shoes.

A fabulous walk for any level of fitness.

Exited cross-country ski walk

Easy walk and nice work out for young kids with a nice little waterfall and a tiny viewing platform at the end of the trail.

Steep narrow path. Wear sturdy shoes. There is a spot two thirds of the way down to splash in the creek. Worth a stop to cool off. The view of the waterfall is lovely and there are some bench seats.

Small waterfall is just 1km from Dinerplains info center.spring is the best time to see more water in there.

It's longer than the 700m quoted, but the 170m drop (approx) is the main test. Worth it anyway if you know this, and should be easy for anyone under 50

Nice place to visit, walk a fraction tough but worth it.

Be prepared to get wet feet if you walk all the way. The grass is not as solid as it looks!!

A pleasant walk, not too much water though.

Good when the creek is flowing. Track can be slippery when wet.

Need some improvement

This walk is not easy. There is a lot of 'watching where you're stepping ', rocks, small creeks, trees etc to negotiate. All downhill on the way, and uphill to come back. Don't go if you're not fit. The main waterfall at the end is OK. The little one about two third of the way down is very pretty, worth finding the little path to it. Very photogenic.

It's worth the walk.
