Hotel High Plains - Dinner Plain/Mt Hotham - Restaurant/Bar

My sister and pop into the pub for a drink, loved the hospitality of staff and locals that we booked in for the following night and was not disappointed. Absolutely fantastic.

Had a great family dinner here tonight. Such awesome wait staff who were friendly and well mannered. Food was delicious and did not disappoint! Thank you Hotel high plains, we will definitely be back!

Came here 2 nights in a row with kids, and the service was lovely and the food was great. Beef Ragu pasta was delicious, and the pork ribs. Kids loved their meals too, will definitely be back :)

Had dinner at the Hotel High Plains on a Tuesday night. Booked in advance (recommend you do this!) and staff were super helpful and flexible with the booking. Food was really delicious but we did have to wait a bit for it to arrive, but it was yum!

Lunch of two burgers and kids meal was very good. Burgers were well presented, hot, ingredients worked well together and reasonable portion sizes for price. Chips were a highlight, very crisp. Staff were polite, drink selection was reasonable for the location, and overall very happy.

Went for dinner with a group of 6. Quick service and the Gluten free pizza was actually great! Would definitely go again. Only thing I’d say is the fire could be cranked up a bit as you could feel the cold coming through the windows.

I’m no hotel guest here, but I can assure you that the ‘STONESTHROW RESTAURANT’ they have there is amazing!! Pizza was freshly cooked in the wood fire oven and it was really good. 5 stars. Well done. P.s we ordered 4 different kinds of pizza and they all did not disappoint.

We went for for dinner - a group of 5. This was the just after Easter and Anzac Day long weekends and it had be extremely busy in the area. The staff were delightful - very friendly and willing to help. There was a bit of a wait for our meals but that's fine, we had lots of time and the beer and wine was great and plentiful. A great evening. We will be back.

Dined at the restaurants two days in a row, the lady who served our food gave a us an excellent service, super friendly as well as food was good and generous portion.

Our favourite place to go for dinner at Dinner Plain (pun fully intended). We've never stayed here for accommodation, but everytime we go here for a meal, we fall in love it again

This is a fabulous pub. Ran on a skeleton staff last season, strugging as all the hospo venues did post-covid. But continued to pump out quality food. Amazing effort. We will always give this lovely place our business. Keep up the good work, guys. You’re the beating heart of the DP village ❤

The food, service, and staff were all excellent. We had a private function at Hotel High Plains, and I can't speak highly enough of the venue or the staff. Thank you for a fantastic and memorable evening!

Members of the MG Car Club visited Hotel High Plains on 9th November. 24 people stayed and dined at the property. Rooms were very clean and well presented. The meals were exceptional and David went out of his way to support us with our presentation during the evening---oh, the bar was well stocked. Recommend a stay at this property.

Amazing pizzas!! Staff were friendly. It's not a budget eat or drink though, but suppose it is to be expected given it's a captive market.

Fabulous place to eat, drink and stay. Wonderful staff working super hard to provide exceptional service all-round. A super tough few years, and I'm very happy to help support such a great team and place.

Lovely stay over to start our trip over the Melbourne cup long weekend. Friendly reception and helpful service to organise dinner despite a late arrival. Our room was warming and restful. We had a peaceful stay :) thank you.

Wasn't sure being a a small pub in a small seasonal town, but I was blown away by the quality of the meals. A quality and diverse menu to suit all tastes Inc vegetarian. A simple sunken dining area removed from the main pub area with open fireplace. Service was prompt and very friendly. Great wine menu. Only sorry I visited on the last day of our trip. Will definitely be back again soon.

A lot of hotels have a similar vibe but I really enjoyed my stay here. The only downside is that I only booked for 1 night. I could have done with a 2nd night. I made good use of the reading nook (a good idea!) and it's nice to be able to step outside no matter the room you have. I'm sure I'll be back.
