Redgate Beach is a beautiful spot to visit, very special in the late afternoon hours to watch the sunset, lots of parking spots here but please remember it is a dirt road, 4x4 is not necessary but I wouldn’t recommend low cars to come here as the track can sometimes be a bit hard to access with a few deeper holes in the road at the start. No toilets in this area.

The Cape to Cape walk follows the coast along Redgate Beach. Some soft sand and rock hopping required here. Beautiful views of points, waves and foreshore. There is a lot of soft sand here slowing down the walk.

Great beach. Lots of parking, shallow flats great for kids.

Beautiful beach no doubt. Only that in comparison with the other WA beaches, it is not one of the best. The mosquito's are merciless and the access to the beach is very steep.

Beautiful little beach with plenty of history. Where shipwreck happened that gave name to Gracetown

Huddled between beautiful dunes and ancient granite boulders, ʀᴇᴅɢᴀᴛᴇ ʙᴇᴀᴄʜ is renowned for its picturesque beach and surf break.
ʀᴇᴅɢᴀᴛᴇ ʙᴇᴀᴄʜ is another one of WA's spectacular beaches and has an interesting mix of rocks and sand and clear water. The Indian Ocean slams into huge rocks just offshore, giving the most incredible displays of sea spray.
Redgate's location is in a special purpose surfing zone, popular with locals and visitors to Margaret River and the South West. An unpatrolled beach so be aware, conditions can change quickly and dangerous rips can occur.
Its also the location of the Georgette shipwreck, which sank on 1 December 1876 and was rediscovered in 1964. Aboriginal stockman Sam Isaacs and his employer’s 16-year-old daughter, Grace Bussell, rode their horses into the surf and out to the capsized lifeboats. Over four hours, Sam and Grace made several trips, bringing survivors safely back to the beach. Twelve of the 50 passengers and crew lost their lives. On a calm day, you can see the shadowy outline of the Georgette about 90 metres offshore.

Surf beach with a sand bottom. A range of spots and abilities could access these breaks. Scenic outlook with granite outcrops and a statement boulder being pounded by the incoming swell. Some rips to keep an eye out for.
