Highly recommend.
We spent three nights at Llewellin Guest House in January and had such a wonderful and relaxing break. We booked two rooms one for us and the other for my sister in law, both rooms were immaculately clean and the hosts James and Jo seem to have thought of everything.
Highlights were the daily visits from the local kangaroos along with relaxing with a beautiful glass of red on the patio and enjoying the stars every evening. The guest house feels like you are million miles from anywhere, but actually it is such a great central location just minutes from the beach, vineyards and town centre. James offers wine tours and both hosts have a wealth of information to help you have the best time during your stay. We will be definitely be rebooking to return. Thank you James and Jo for making our stay so good.
Pros: beautiful and quiet location
great hosts
clean rooms
kangaroos
Cons: wish we had booked longer!

We recently spend 4 nights at llewellin's guest house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. James and Jo are very responsive with any questions and look after their property so well.
The guest house is not within walking distance of any shops/restaurants, but with that comes the benefit of being surrounded by nature and wildlife in a private environment. We loved waking up to the kangaroos playing and feeding, it was truly magical. We made the most of BBQ facilties which were great and all the amenities you need for cooking are provided. The property is about a 5-10 minute drive into margaret river town, 10 minutes to the beach, and is extremely close to many many winerys. Thank you Jo and James for a fantastic stay!

We stayed here for 6 nights and it was a delight from start to finish. Our room was wonderfully comfortable and Joanna and James made us feel part of the family throughout our stay. Breakfasts were so tasty and exciting and there was something different everyday. There is a fabulous covered pergola area with BBQ that we could use and it was so nice to sit there and enjoy a glass of wine and some light snacks or a quick BBQ dinner.

James was so knowledgeable on the local wineries and his recommendations were the highlight of our tastings.

I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Margaret River

Such a lovely place to go. Very peaceful, surrounded by nature. If you would like to wake up with the sight of birds, kangaroos... you should visit !

Hosts are the most welcoming. We were greeted with a delicious chickpeas appetizer. We will come back if we ever come back to margareth river.

We cannot say enough about this amazing place to do it justice. We stayed for 3 nights earlier this month at the start of our travels around Australia and could not have wished for a better place to start. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the kangaroos outside our room which was something we had never experienced before and was amazing. Watching them being fed in the morning was just incredible.
Our room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed and we slept so well! The little personal touches in the room were much appreciated. The restaurant recommendations in the room info were also very good.
As for Jo and James, they could not have been lovelier, so attentive but not too much. James is amazing in the kitchen and his breakfasts were just yummy. James was also great when recommending wineries to visit and Jo was just so lovely!
All in all, a really lovely place to stay and would not hesitate in recommending Llewellin's as a fantastic place to stay. Only wish we had stayed longer than 3 nights.

Llewellin’s is a fantastic place to spend some time. James cooks up a storm at breakfast, Joanna is a super hostess and the location and attendant wildlife … kangaroos, galahs and rather fat pidgeons, add that touch of nature to the area. We had 5 fantastic days to enjoy the region greatly assisted by our wonderful hosts.

My husband and I had an amazing weekend there and for sure we will be back again.
I strongly recommend this place :)

Wow, what an amazing getaway. James and Joanna are just fantastic.

Brilliant rooms very well presented, fantastic breakfast area and the fire place warms your bones.

I love that we also get a choice of breakfast and look out at the amazing views. What a treat to watch the kangaroos nibble on some toast.

James and Joanna are also very accommodating, we had a little car trouble and they were so helpful and made a stressful situation a lot easier.

We will definitely be visiting again as not so often do you find such an amazing and genuine couple.

If you want an amazing place to stay, then this is the place to go. I can't praise this place and the owners enough. James and Joanna go over and above to make your stay the most comfortable and pleasent one you could ask for. The beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Wake in the morning to an amazing breakfast cooked by James with mostly home made produce. Sit in the oversized been chairs sipping wine overlooking nature, feed the kangaroos who also have the best life here. James can even take you on a chauffeured wine tour.
Thankyou James and Joanna. We will be back. 🥰

Llewellin’s is the most exquisite place! The amazing up-close experience with kangaroos and the level of friendly service from James and Joanna is out of this world. The ambience is beautiful, and James’ home-cooked breakfasts are to die for. If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would. Definitely will be coming back.

James and Joanna were amazing hosts and the stay was perfect. The room was so comfortable and setting spectacular. The breakfast could possibly be the best food in Margaret River with many home made goodies. I only wish we stayed longer. I can't recommend highly enough.

Llewellin's Guest House is a hidden gem, a small corner of paradise in what is already a magnificent region. Every small detail is taken care of: delicious breakfasts, a comfy bed and pillows, lovely artwork, great bathroom products and garden tables and chairs from which you can look out at the beautiful wild birds and kagaroos who come to say hello.... The location is perfect and the rooms spotless. The owners, Jo and James, make you feel at home, always with warm friendly smiles, and providing good tips and tours for exploring the region. I can't recommend this place highly enough. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

We have just stayed at Llewellin’s Guest House for the second time and it has been just as good as the first.

James and Joanna are fantastic hosts and the rooms are elegant and clean. We had the Garden Room for this stay, having previously stayed in the Spa Room. The rooms are spacious and super clean, with every possible touch you could need, from real plunger coffee to a make up towel! The toiletries are personalised from Vasse Virgin giving them a luxurious feel.

Breakfast - just spectacular! We stayed 3 nights so I got to have three different breakfasts - smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, poached eggs with tomatoes and mushrooms and finally the most divine Persian feta and crispy bacon omelette. The fresh fruit salad and stewed fruits are delicious, the toast and jams are always different and yummy, plus James makes homemade muffins everyday - the raspberry ones were my favourite but my husband was partial to the banana, dark chocolate and cinnamon.

The property is a little haven with galahs coming to feed from the various bird feeders and a resident kangaroo who hops up each evening for a snack too. It’s just bliss sitting, watching and listening to the wildlife and insects.

When we are in Margaret River, we won’t stay anywhere else! Thank you Jo and James for a wonderful 3 days. Only two more trips until we make the board!

The most wonderful stay with absolutely fantastic owners. They make you feel tremendously welcome and nothing is too much trouble. With a friendly and warm attitude it is everything you want in a B&B. If this isn’t enough, James does the most spectacular breakfast and his wine tours are so much fun.

Hi Jo, and James,

Just a huge thanks for the extra-long weekend, we just love coming down and I wish I had more time to come and chill.

Once again everything was perfect , food , conversation , room and well we just love it.

You are both a credit to the people who are lucky enough to stay at your amazing establishment, as you leave nothing to chance and make everyone feel so welcome.

Thank you on behalf of Kelly and myself and see you next year if not sooner xx

Very quiet, romantic, peaceful location. If breakfast is your thing then it is the place to stay. James's omelette is really good, must try compote, fig jam and dry lime marmelade will blow your taste buds away. Jo will make you feel like you are at home. Looking forward to go back again.
