A Tasty BBQ Experience in the Countryside

I recently visited this charming BBQ smokehouse in the countryside after hearing rave reviews from friends. Our Saturday night reservation turned out to be a delightful family outing with a variety of mouth-watering meals, including chicken, lamb, pork, beef, and sausage.

The standout dish was undoubtedly the ribs – absolutely delicious and a must-try. While the chicken on the burger was a bit dry, the staff promptly replaced a mistakenly sauced meal, showcasing their commitment to customer satisfaction.

All the meals featured a generous amount of meat and were served promptly. The milkshake was delightful, and the range of cold drinks, including Mexican coke and Bundaberg soft drinks, added a nice touch. The sides, including battered onion rings, were a tasty departure from typical fast food fare, and the family thoroughly enjoyed them.

In summary, this is a great little place with friendly service and delectable BBQ options. Despite a minor hiccup, we look forward to returning for another delicious experience.

The cooked low and slow pulled beef just melts in your mouth and the taste is amazing, so good I ate there twice in one day. This restaurant is always beautifully presented and clean. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. A must do when you're in Kalbar

Had lunch at this place after a short hike in the area, we ordered the platter for 2 which had sausages, Beef brisket, pulled pork, beef short rib, corn, slaw, pickles & bread.

I have been to many Smokey houses around Brisbane and interstate, and can honestly say these guys have mastered it, my favourite was the beef brisket it was absolutely awesome, cooked perfectly, tender, juicy melt in the mouth.

The staff here were also extremely friendly and welcoming and just created the general feel good vibes that are very rare these days.

We will be back and eating here every time we go for a hike in that area.

We're from Bundamba and we came here for lunch to try something different. My hubby n I tried the brisket burger and it was amazing. Staff were friendly and gave fantastic service. Would we come here again HELL YES! Highly recommend this place.

Awesome place for lunch offering great good and great value for money. The brisket box was awesome and plenty of food for an adult. Brisket burger was big and chunky, and small mac n cheese was a great kids serving. Nice range of soft drinks available. Definitely a nice spot to stop for lunch or a snack.

Nice day out with friends. Had a lovely drive out to kalbar and amazing lunch. Would definitely recommend the food. Meat was so tender. The loaded fries were amazing. The staff were friendly and service was fast. Will definitely be back.

Mad scramble to find somewhere for Mother’s Day when we were visiting the area, and so glad we found 2 m8’s!!! Worth a long beautiful drive on the weekend for amazing food and wonderful owners/staff. The share plate for 2 is worth its weight in gold and add a few sides: love the Mac n cheese and American sodas.
Fed a family with 2 little kids and still had to take away some leftovers. WE WILL BE BACK. 6 stars since google only has 5.

Very good. The brisket burger and onion rings exceeded my expectations. Made the effort to call me back for a take away order when they were almost at closing time too.

2 m8’s bbq is a GREAT choice! The young gentleman was very polite and helpful. The meat is always fresh and flavorful, the sides compliment well, and the portion sizes are appropriate for the cost. A wonderful option on weekends or anytime you want someone else to do the cooking for you!

Best feed ever. 2m8s catered for us and were super easy to organise and the feed blew everyone away highly recommend to everyone.

Few too many flies but we really enjoyed our meal and I'll be looking forward to stopping by again next time I'm passing through.

Absolutely beautiful BBQ. Beats everywhere in Brisbane, proper American BBQ you won’t find anywhere else. Everything on the menu is amazing but the brisket is to die for! Been here twice now and will be back a third time!

We used these guys for my dads suprise 70th last night and i have to say, the food was amazing. The guest all left with full bellies. Shane and Bec we very responsive and made the process soo easy. Will definitely be using you guys again.
