Royal Hotel Kalbar

A beautiful day out with the girls enjoying a lovely high tea. There was plenty to choose from and Jess (pastry chef) did a marvellous job with the selection of tasty desserts and sandwiches. The staff were very friendly and looked after any request with a smile.
Loved it.
Only request for next time is more option for coffees.

We recently popped in for lunch and so glad we did ! The Royal Hotel is a lovely old building and kept immaculately- the public bar, dining area, gaming area and bathrooms are all spotless and well kept. Our orders were taken quickly and our food was brought out very quickly. The meals were amazing - especially the brisket plate - so much better than several smoke house style places we’ve tried in the past - we will absolutely be making the Royal Hotel Kalbar a regular place to visit when in the area !

Parked overnight at the Kalbar showgrounds. 300mt walk to the pub. Friendly staff and patrons good for a chat. Brilliant meal was had by both of us.

Great food. Nice restaurant. Great service. Good value. If you go (and I hope you do) take an appetite

Dinner here tonight was delicious. The waitresses (Ally and Jess) were wonderful, and the desserts that Jess (a qualified Pastry chef) makes are to die for... very moorish and not too sweet. *The 5 stars are for the Bailey's n Mint cheesecake.
A great atmosphere!

Had lunch with my 10 mates. Food came out quick and all looked and tasted great.
Would come back again.

We stopped and had a meal at the hotel. Lovely lovely people and meals and atmosphere. They had a few options for gluten free but were very quick to inform me that the same oil is used for gluten aswell. That was a good save as I can get quite sick.
The kids loved the grounds to run around in. We will come again.

Took the good lady for a country drive on a Wednesday to Kalbar and have lunch at the Royal Hotel. We both decided on steak sandwiches for lunch and they were the best I have ever had, no bull!! Beautifully cooked tasty meat and great bacon, onions and salad too and they were large portions for a big fella. The young ladies provided great service with a smile and a cold beer too. Always go here for a steak/beer sometimes by myself after a hike or sometimes with the family..the food is always amazing the steak is perfection..and I don't think I've met friendlier staff anywhere else ..I'll keep going back..

Magnificent food, best T-Bone I have enjoyed for a very long time. Service is attentive, helpful and friendly. Beer is cold. Highly recommend.

The meals were huge, well priced & just delicious!! Even though it was packed the meals came out quite quickly!
The service was excellent, all the staff were friendly especially our waitress she was just lovely.
I would recommend you book ahead as they filled up quickly!!

Really lovely staff and service. The size of the food portions were very impressive. Had the Kalbar Burger and some giant parmigiana. Would go back for the food alone.

Pleasant waiting staff, GREAT food, nicely re-done inside. Best Bar b q brisket I have had since Texas, Great house made desserts.

My first time to Kalbar and the Royal Hotel. My friend and I were served beautifully presented well priced meals not long after ordering by friendly helpful staff. I'm looking forward to having lunch there again soon.

Lobbed in, ordered the BBQ chicken parmy, got us a beer and got seated. Food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. Staff were friendly and even had a chat with a local in the toilet,lol.
Would go back next time were in the area.

We had a booking for approximately 20 people for my mothers 90th birthday on Saturday July 23rd 2022. All I need to say is “wow”!
The meals were fantastic, the staff were fantastic, nothing was a bother to them. I would recommend this venue for anyone wanting a decent meal, good priced, and excellent service to try this venue next time you are travelling through Kalbar. Well done people.
