Barossa Arts Festival

A fabulous month of artwork and workshops set in some of the best cellar doors and restaurants in South Australia. Have met so many people from interstate who have also really enjoyed this real jewel in the crown of our state….long may it continue and go from strength to strength!

The Barossa Arts Festival is a fabulous way for artists/photographers to be part of a creative community and make new artistic connections. Showcasing our work is incredibly important to advance our careers as serious practitioners. Festivals like the Barossa are perfect for this. An artist friend and I stayed in the Barossa for a few days, participated in an art workshop and went to local restaurants. Many other friends/artists from Adelaide made the special trip to Nuriootpa to see my work. And of course they spent more time looking around whilst they were visiting. It's important for regional communities to become "known" for their unique offerings. Art is a superb combination to go with wine and food.

The Barossa arts festival is a fantastic opportunity for South Australian artists to showcase their talent. The arts trail was hugely successful and visitors really enjoyed going to different venues to see the art and sample some great wines. I really think it should be an annual event. It was so much fun and so well organized.

We have been participants in the Barossa Arts Festival in 2022, and also in 2024. The 2024 event built on the sold base that Karen built in 2022, and with a bigger team this year's event was incredible! A fantastic offering for locals and tourists to engage with the Barossa region in ways that they wouldn't otherwise have access to. What's even more impressive is the length of the Festival - an entire month dedicated to showcasing the Barossa's artists. We are grateful to Karen and Tania for the work they put into offering this. Bring on 2026!

It was great for me to participate as one of the festival artists. The event allowed me to connect with fellow artists and the coordinators of the exhibition venues. It is so impressive just how much happened during the Barossa Arts Festival.
