Hammond Providore

Every country town cafe has a review online that someone has said it's THE BEST or has THE BEST sandwiches/slice/pie etc, but when you eat there you feel like Melania Trump, empty and disappointed. This cafe IS actually really great if you want a tasty, interesting breakfast that doesn't have poached eggs because they look gross and make you feel ill. The chicken sandwich with dill was delightful and I can highly recommend

I usually camp overnight on the Murray River after my market stall at the Sunday market. Noticed this attractive cafe so visited for a soy flat white and a brownie - both were delicious thank you! Friendly smiling staff which is must do in hospitality. Will visit again over Easter!

Thank you so much we had a large group today of 17 . The service was wonderful from start to finish. Our little waiter Cruz did a magnificent job looking afternoon us. The food was beautiful and the coffee was magnificent . We have traveled a lot and had some terrible coffee but this was one of the best we have ever had. We will be back.

The usual measure is the further you travel from Melbourne the poorer the coffee experience is…… and then you stumble upon an absolute little beauty like Hammond, in Moama of all places! This is a huge call, but I’ve just had the best 2 coffees of my life here!

We ordered a Platter and Dinner for our Christmas Party and the food was amazing. Quality ingredients, well presented, delicious! The lamb in particular, so good!
Hammond Prov is also great place to pop in for brunch and smooth coffee too.

You are always greeted warmly by the wonderful Hammond team, even on the busiest days the service and atmosphere is 10/10. The coffee is always amazing - definitely my go to cafe!

As someone who spends their life in search of the perfect Ruben, I found one that is as close to as possible in, of all places, Moana (just neat Echuca).

Hammond is a well built brick providore and cafe that prides itself on making a lot of items in house, such as their corned beef for the ruben, as well as establishing trade relations with exceptional local and wider Australian food makers.

In today’s visit, we had the finest coffee imported from Melbourne, followed by a 9.9/10 Ruben and 9.5/10 salmon bagel.

The thing that made both so good is that the care and thought that has gone into every ingredient, which results in a quality sandwich, not one that has just been thrown together because the ingredients list suggested it.

The service was more than friendly and professional, and the owner was available to engage with us and other customers, and she was more than happy to share the background on all the suppliers and methods of making their food, as well as the ethos of the venue.

Absolute stand out venue for anyone visiting Moama!

Went with my family including my very boomer mum. They were lovely and tolerant and did their absolute best.

Both the iced coffee and latte are some of the best I’ve had, and the sausage roll was magnificent.

Thanks to the staff for putting up with us with grace. If im coming through Moama again I’ll certainly stop by.

Met Paige, today, she was up to her eyebrows with orders on Saturday when I was there but more relaxed today. She makes an excellent coffee. Highly recommend this place for atmosphere. A great vibe. They have the very best muffins too.

Pains me to say this as the place is always busy enough as it is without this review possibly adding to the beautiful chaos that occurs 🤣 but hands down the best Egg and bacon “roll” (brioche bun) you will find in Echuca moama , girls are lovely and Michelle is a rockstar, definitely recommend popping in for a coffee and a bite!

Visited the other day with hubby and the kids on our way through from Melbourne and experience was very comfortable and amazing product on offer. Walked in for just coffee and left with a full grocery bag of recommendations from the young man who also made our coffees. Great charm and have loved everything else he sent us away with since. We are coffee lovers and haven’t had one that good in our travels since. Will be back for sure.

The most amazing local cafe. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Whether it’s sorting the family dinner or grabbing a quick coffee and treat, this is the place to go. Very accomodating of customer needs - offering many Gluten Free options for menu items and family meals, and friendly staff just to top it off! I know this weekend has already been overwhelming with the amount of customers through the door, but the wait is always worth it. Love the Hammond Crew, pop in for a coffee, sweet treat or a delicious Brekky. You won’t be disappointed, but you may have to enjoy an extra St Remio coffee while you patiently wait…….they are doing their best!
