Captains Cottage Bed & Breakfast

A lovely bed and breakfast getaway in a beautiful, peaceful location. Lynn and Chris are fantastic hosts and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They are super pet friendly, happily accommodating for our 2 active dogs. The dogs had a blast playing with their own super friendly dog and exploring the ample bushland surrounding their home. Every part of their service was undoubtedly worth 5 stars. We would highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I stayed at the Captain's Cottage for 3 nights back in April with our highly active dog as well as our neighbours and we absolutely loved it. Lynne and Chris are truly wonderful hosts that are warm and welcoming. They also catered for our dietary restrictions at breakfast exceptionally well. The accomodation itself was extremely clean, cosy and comfortable, with plenty of pillow choices in the bedroom and additional blankets for those cooler nights. The room does have a working air conditioning / heating too. Did I mention the cottage is set directly on the river and surrounded by lush forest with abundant birdlife? We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We stayed here for close to a week with our two dogs and absolutely loved it! It’s unbelievably quiet and privacy was never an issue with the rooms being separated from the main house. There is plenty of space and the hosts take care of everything. Great food, great views, great wine, and great conversation. Definitely consider staying here if you’re passing through Moama.

In June 2016 we stayed at this B&B which we thoroughly enjoyed. It had a relaxed and tranquil feel about the place & surrounds and gorgeous breakfasts with a nice flair of something different. My husband and I would highly recommend it as we were able to take our dog along with us. The hosts are very congenial too which made it all the more comfortable for us. Well done Chris and Lyn. We will see you again....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Captains Cottage on the banks of the Murray. Very relaxing to sit and watch the boats go by. Comfy beds and modern facilities. Delicious cooked breakfast. Many thanks to Lynne and Chris for their hospitality.

Lyn and Chris are wonderful hosts and the location is superb. Fabulous breakfasts and super comfy bed in a beautiful bedroom. We didn’t want to leave!

Lovely location, close to town without any noise. Was great to sit and watch the paddle boats go by. Will definitely be coming back for longer next time.

Perfect balance of country, homey hospitality and professionalism. Rooms are clean and private with ensuite. Breakfast is hearty but not fussy. Definitely recommended.
