Bunbury Cycles

These guys are the real deal. I was shopping for an electric bike, and didn't really know much about my options, or what I should be looking for.

Bunbury Cycles is run by Darryl and Mop, and while they have other staff helping them from time to time, these are the two guys to ask for if you're shopping for a new bike, and want expert advice. I'd taken the afternoon off to shop around for an ebike, and was fortunate that Darryl was available when I walked in, and he gladly spent a good amount of time helping me out, which was exactly what I needed.

Darryl patiently took the time to explain my options, and helped me identify what my priorities should be, based on the kind of riding I would be doing, and what I was looking for. He also took me out to a nearby parking lot to try several bikes, and explain how they worked. This was tremendously helpful.

I really appreciated his advice, because it's obvious he's been in the bike industry for many, many years, and is extremely knowledgeable. He also wasn't pushy, and to quote his words: "I don't want to sell you a bike, I want you to buy a bike." There's a subtle but important difference. And buy a bike is exactly what I did.

I came back a few times, as I narrowed down my options and find-tuned my choices. Darryl gave me the time I needed to come to a decision, giving me the chance to take the bikes I was interested in for a test ride, and even making a component switch to ensure it was a good fit.

The bike I ended up buying wasn't the one I would have first considered, but that's because I first needed to be educated about the different options, and the pros and cons of each. So far I'm very happy with the final outcome.

I'm pleased with my purchase (a 2022 model Focus Thron2 6.7), and with the attention and advice I received, especially from Darryl, but also from Mop. I'm confident that these guys will also be giving good service, so when my bikes do need work done, this is where I'll be coming from now on.

Thanks to Darryl & the guys at Bunbury. Cycles. We just left there with a new electric bike for hubby, my electric bike throttle altered & new tyres, and a car bike rack fitted to get everything home safely. Great prices, great range and great service. Highly recommended.

We recently bought 2 x electric bikes from Bunbury Cycles. Mop, Ken and Darryl are very helpful and knowledgeable and set us up with the perfect ebikes for our needs. Friendly, prompt, helpful, reasonably priced. I called them a little before noon about repairing my son's bicycle. They replaced the tube for me within 5 hours and only charged me $20. Great service, thanks!

These guys gave me some of the best service I've had in a while in Bunbury. They went out of their way to share knowledge to help me find what I needed and even to test before buying. I was treated like I was important. Then I went back and got a helmet - more good knowlege imparted as to requirements. I have been telling all to go here. A quaint old shop filled with a mix of just the types of people you need that show a love for what they do and knack of connecting to people.

Outstanding level of service from the team at Bunbury Cycles. If you are looking for a trustworthy and experienced bike shop this is the place. Darryl and Mop know their stuff and their work is second to none. My Giant road bike is like brand new after Bunbury Cycles worked their magic on it. Highly recommend for all cycling needs.

I like the fact they will tell you if what you are looking for wont suit, they are not out to sell you whatever. They are there to offer great customer service :-). Had my bikeservice, can't believe how good it rides now, thanks to Darrell

We have found the team at Bunbury Cycles to provide excellent customer service. Recently had issues with older style electronic gears on my bike. The problem was diagnosed and the boys were able to use their experience in the bike industry to source parts that weren't readily available anymore and get me back on the road with a minimum of fuss. Keep up the great work Matthew, Darryl and Sir Ken.

am still bowled over by the excellent service and thoughtfulness I
received when looking at buying an e-tricycle a few months ago. Looking
around Bunbury at various cycle shops, Bunbury Cycles stood out head
and shoulders above other places; the fellows at BC could not have been
more helpful, taking me out twice to the nearby carpark to familiarise
myself with the 3-wheeler, explaining details, pointing out possible
awkward spots on the pathway and just generally so helpful to an old
lady!! On top of all this, their price was considerably lower, and
there was the reassurance that they were to help if I have any
difficulties at any time. Now that I'm used to my trike, and it is
completely different to a 2-wheeler, I absolutely love it. It is so
comfortable, and is wonderful to be gliding along in the fresh air,
exercising but with that e-support, enjoying my surroundings. Thanks

HONESTY and TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE is obvious in this business.
I rang seeking prompt repairs to my Specialized mountain bike and explained we were visiting Bunbury for the next two days only. I explained I probably needed a new chain and possibly adjustment to the gears as a previous service provider said the chain was near replacement. The Bunbury Bicycles owner suggested I bring the bike in immediately. He put it straight on to his support frame, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed while I waited. I was amazed when he requested only $10 payment.
He could have told me to leave the bike, replaced the chain and then made the adjustment and I would have expected a near $100 bill.

Great range of bikes from babies to retirees. All the accessories to go with them and the knowledge to make it all happen.
