Mount Gnomon Farm

What an incredible local treasure! If you find yourself in this part of Tasmania make sure you stop by Mount Gnoman Farm. Firstly, the place is just so beautiful, it really has a wow factor! Secondly, the food is DELICIOUS! Their chef needs to be commended on what he produces. We loved that it was a true farm to table experience - you can taste the freshness and the flavour combinations were simply perfect. Lastly, what fabulous staff they have! Everyone worked so hard to ensure our visit was one that we will remember for a long time. This was the definite highlight of our short holiday and we can't wait to come back here again. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

We had our Christmas Eve lunch at this vast and beautiful place.
Very friendly and respectful staffs and great memories with the menu!
We had the platter which had everything from the chorizo, panchetta to dips, entrees and to a uniquely delicious chorizo jam.
Ended with the rhubarb inspired dessert.
Everything was delicious, and it definitely overpacks for 2 at only $35 per person.
It was a great way to try the showcase of the meats available on the farm.
10/10 to include it in your itenary when visiting North West Tasmania or simply a lunch date.

What an absolute gem and the decor and ambience was very beautiful. They had the fireplace on to provide guests with a great warm and welcoming vibe. We ordered the lamb burger and platter for 1 which was not only very generous in size but also extremely delicious as well as beautifully presented. The staff were very welcoming and attentive with two very cute doggies soaking up the sun outside. A definite must for any Tasmanian visitor or local!

Visited for the Sunflower tour set arround sunset, photographers paradise. Loved it, definitely recommend.

To state the obvious, it's a farm - wear shoes accordingly. Believe people can take their Dogs with them. Barn looks great for special events.

Wow. Went for a family picnic day and it was so much more than expected. The live music by Lasca Dry was incredible and her voice filled the farm with such a divine presence!

There was parking behind the “barn” which is the main function area. They had a kids craft activity table set up which my boys totally loved.

The food was incredible, we had tried them at the Devonport New Year’s Eve event and knew what we were getting ourselves into - even better and fresher right from the farm!

Had a meander around the farm and joined in a bit of the farm tour too.

The boys and I loved petting the little piglet that came out for a while! Some baby chicks also had come out for a bit when we first got there.

It was such a low key nourishing family friendly event and how lucky this area is to have the space and options like Mount Gnomon Farm.

Hidden gem. Worth the drive through the mud track. The restaurant was closed for function so didn't have the chance to do lunch as intended. The Chef give us a walk through of the garden transformation. He get another guy to give us a tour of the farm. Very good information given by the guy explaining about the pigs, the sheep, the chicken, sheep and the Apple plantation. Would be good to visit in 1 ton2 years to see how this place is transformed. This place is run by volunteer who are into food without pesticide. more media review about this place would be great!

Such an incredible place & experience. Not only is setting stunning, the food was absolutely incredible. Kids loved the farm & animals. We had platter, pork belly & burger. Best we have tasted. Dessert was amazing, get the dessert - the chef is also a pastry chef!

What a great farm, found at last moment and totally glad we did, it actually hosts weddings at the Barn…the farm includes sunflowers, baby piglets, sheep, cows…Totally recommend staying here 10/10, and would definitely stay again with hesitation…

I ordered some dahlia tubers through the farm website, the order went missing but the guys at mt gnomon farm went above and beyond to make sure I got my tubers, with extras thrown in. I’m very appreciative of the effort and will definitely visit the farm and buy more of their produce in the future😊

Went to a special Valentines dinner tonight. The food was very yummy❤ plenty of food and it was absolutely delicious 😋

Lovely delicious platter for luncheon

Great food; owner Guy very friendly and keen to answer your questions. We had a Sunday lunch here and everyone was very happy with their meals. The ribs were a standout, with a delicious salsa. Proper, nicely spiced chorizo on the platter. Amazing pumpkin soup. All round highly recommended experience.

I have ordered home delivery twice. The $100 meat pack is great value. I received a variety of meats and small goods which are fresh, tender and tasty. The small goods are exceptional. They don't taste like preservatives or fillers unlike commercial sausages. Highly recommend and will continue to support this local Tassie business.
