Mason's Cottages

This is a beautiful place to stay close to Port Arthur attractions. We stayed here during our Christmas trip of Tassie. Our room was very neat and beds were very comfortable. It also has a kitchen with a mini fridge inside the room. Surrounding was very quiet.
Manager is very nice and helping.

So happy we found this place. Nothing short of amazing. Clean, super comfortable, so well equipped, even free milk for your coffees and teas. All the information about the sites nearby.
Easy arrangement of late check-in, let us stay a bit longer since we slept so long and good.

If we ever get back to Tassie, we will definetley come back here. 😍

Excellent facilities and room services. Price under $200 is really value for money. We would love to visit it again given the opportunity.

Great rooms at a great price. Clean and well appointed. The manager was super nice. She helped us avoid a google map problem with a closed road and had other helpful suggestions. Only wish the weather was nicer so we could use the awesome bbq facilities.

Masons cottages have to be one of the cleanest and tidiest holiday accommodation places we have ever stayed at. The peninsula location is well central to the scenic beauty of the region. The manager, Denise, is the friendliest and most helpful person you could ever hope to meet. This was our second stay here because our first was so good and can't wait to return again for our next experience. Totally worth it.

My mum (who uses a wheely Walker and needs accessibility) and I stayed in a two bed cottage for a two night stay to attend a function in Taranna. Denise was so lovely from check in to check out. The cottage was extremely clean, well appointed, well insulated, comfy beds with electric blankets (timers) and great RC air conditioning.
The cottages are in great proximity to Port Arthur Historic Site as well as the many other attractions on the Tasman Peninsula.
Believe me (as someone who once lived in Tassie) and also a tourist with relatives who live there, you are doing yourself and the beautiful Peninsula an injustice if you try and do Port Arthur in a day trip from Hobart.
Take some time and spend a night, or two or three in the area and stay at Mason’s Cottages. You won’t regret it!

We stayed here for one night but could have easily stayed a few. Lovely hosts, lots of information on where to go/what to do and eat, and super clean, comfortable and well kept room. Highly recommended.

Stayed for one night but would have been happy to stay long. Beautiful, comfortable and clean. Our cottage had everything we could need. The bed was comfortable and the towels were thick and soft. Really well appointed, and reasonably priced snacks and drinks in the fridge. Very accommodating staff- were helpful with pointers for food in the area. 100% would recommend.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, had a lot of suggestions for activities to do and see in the area as well as restaurants and cafes.
The cabin was lovely, well stocked and very clean. Great location and overall a fantastic stay!

Really lovely stay, great welcoming people from the minute you arrive. Great advice on things to do in the local area and they looked after us with our 9 week old. The rooms are impeccably clean, nicely presented with all the facilities you might need for a short or longer stay. Would recommend!

Stayed for 3 nights in early January (I know a bit late with the review right?). The hosts Justin and Denise were so welcoming and friendly. The rooms were immaculately presented and super clean. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms had so many charming little touches that it made it feel like home. There were a couple of huge washers and dryers on site and a handy bbq, with everything you could need kitchen-wise to make dinner. It was within close driving distance to all the tourist attractions and the information packs in the room were so helpful. It was so reasonably priced. I recommend this place and I would definitely stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay at Mason's Cottages. Justin was lovely - he had so many great tips for restaurants and local attractions. The room was very well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The on-site laundry facility was very convenient. The cottages are in a great location, very short drive to Port Arthur and the many other local attractions.

Denise was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. She even brought me oysters right to my room. Thanks Denise they were yum and a great price .

We travelled as a family of 7.. it was by far the best place we have stayed in. Denise was fantastic with everything. Went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The beds and bedding were top quality. Beautiful amenities. Great service all round.

Lovely, new looking property. Almost disappointed that we were only staying for one night! The cot for our infant was set up already and the studio had all you could possibly ask for. Comfy beds, squishy soft towels and a fantastic shower.
A highly recommended choice if you stay in the area. Please note that there are no grocery shops nearby so if you are planning to cook, think ahead

Brilliant self contained cottages as a fantastic base for sight seeing.
Cottage was crispy clean, linen was fluffy and soft, bed sheets smelt fresh (must be cuddly lol) and the small extras were noticed, toothpicks, tissues, extra garbage bags, and plenty of bathroom supplies.
Justin & Denise are fantastic hosts, thankyou so much for having us.

Incredibly welcoming and friendly owners, were extremely kind and happy to answer our questions about the area. Room was beautiful and beds were comfy as well as modern looking. We stayed in a studio which had plenty of space for the three of us. They also provide a booklet with a lot of information about points of interest and food near us, as well as other helpful tips for travelling in the area. One of the best places I've stayed in tas, better than a hotel I stayed at a few days before.

!The Perfect Cottage!

Firstly the owners Denise and Justine, Wow, so friendly so helpful always a smile on their faces! They went above and beyond, helped us plan our days and what’s around the area! Our son even left his little Tasmanian devil toy and Denise has so kindly sent him on a journey (the post) back to us!

The cottage was perfect! Kept so clean and modern, we felt right at home, they had options of games for kids and a yard as well! Kitchen was perfect to cook in everything provided! It was perfect! We have only just gotten back home and can not wait to return!

Location was excellent, we were so close to so many adventures!

Very nice and clean, well appointed and has everything needed.
Justin was really friendly and took time to show places to visit and showed me around the accommodation.
We had the 2 bedroom cottage for the 4 of us, only stayed for one night but will definetly stay again on next trip.
Fully reccommended.
