Such a uniquely special place and a wonderful experience to see all the animals, especially the devils. I thoroughly enjoyed the talks from the nature guides who were very knowledgeable and passionate about providing the animals with the best quality of life possible. There was even a cemetery for those who had passed on, which I thought was really touching. As someone who would never normally visit a zoo, it was so nice to find Tasmanian Devil Unzoo and be able to have this experience.

Really amazing way to learn about Tasmania wildlife. “Unzoo” is a take on not caging any of the animals, and providing a way for animals and humans to interact naturally with people. This includes birds, kangaroos, and the famous devils. This plenty to see and do for a full morning or afternoon, we had a great time.

This was one of the best things we did in Tasmania. We followed along with the feeding tour and had a lot of up-close animal encounters.
The concept of unzoo was brilliant, letting us see the animals in their natural environment- especially the Tasmanian devil.
Amazing experience!

A cool place to visit. Helpful reception staff who directed us to join the guided tour.

Tassie devil feeding was at 1pm and 3pm, and the staff takes visitors on a guided tour around each section. The talks were informative.

Lovely experience feeding and patting the free roaming kangaroos.

Great little 'unzoo' where you're guaranteed to spot a number of unique Tassie animals, including of course the devil. Feeding time was great to watch and the guides were very informative. Although the prices did feel steep, if you spend the whole (or at least half the) day there and love animals it's worth it. Plus it's all for a good cause.

I am lucky to see those lovely and healthy Tasmania Devil running around.
Also stuff very patiently explaining all their information to helped me understand them better.
And those Kangaroos are very different between QLD kangaroo .
Very interesting and easy.

Great place to stop and check out some Tasmanian devils. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. There's plenty for the kids to do: pat the local animals and learn something at the same time.

Enjoyed a wonderful few hours here, soaking up the beauty of the place and the amazing privilege to get so close to the animals and birds too. Guides we're awesome too. Highly recommend.

It is an interesting place to stop to learn about animals in Tasmania. They definitely have Tasmanian Devils, kangaroos, wallabies. Birds come and go but they had some beautiful species present when we were there.

It’s educational, family friendly and worth 1-2 hours of your time

This is a cute little place, a little funky, but you can see it has such good intentions. For anyone visiting they do personal tours every half hour, feeding birds and the devils. The park itself isn’t huge, but it’s probably better that way. Everything but the devils are free to roam. I think the devils would take a chunk out of ya hand if you left it low enough in their enclosure.

Probably the highlight of my trip to Hobart and surrounding areas. The keepers are excellent and very informative. You can see animals close and there are feeding sessions with Tasmanian Devils, Birds and Kangaroos. Very nice park.

Amazing spot to watch and learn about the devils, including details of conservation efforts. The same guide led several feedings and talks about the animals back to back for the hour we were there and did an excellent job. Being able to hand feed a kangaroo was incredible. Love the unzoo concept. Def recommend if you are in the area!

Fantastic experience at this zoo. Got to feed the kangaroos and birds. I learned a lot about the Tasmanian Devil. Worth a couple hours stop on your way out to the Port.

Most of the creatures here are in the wild. The notable ones that are captive are the Tassie Devils and the tame kangaroos, they are in enclosures that are blended with the environment.

UnZoo is relatively small but it is still a lovely zoo. We always enjoy watching the Tassie Devils being fed, which is what drew me into the zoo - the devils!

They feed the wild birds at the Birds of the Bush presentation.

Green Rosellas were always about. They are native to Tasmania.

The Cape Barren Geese in the back paddock had four bubs and they were as cute as could be.

We had the privilege to see a Yellow Wattlebird, Australia’s largest honey eater. The New Holland Honey Eaters were gorgeous. They were tiny compared to the Yellow Wattlebird.

The Superb Fairywrens were stunning as always. They are very quick, so I am extra proud that I got a reasonable photo.

The kangaroos in the back paddock were the most docile I have ever met. What a sleepy bunch!

It was a lovely couple of hours wandering around the paddocks spying birds and animals.

Fantastic experience. Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Plenty of chances for animal interactions and pleasant nature walks. It is much bigger than I expected. The kids loved it, especially hand feeding the birds.

Didn't know what to expect but came away impressed with the dedication of the volunteers in making animals accessible but in a more humane way. Got close to a Tasmanian Devil and understood more about them. Got to pat kangaroos.

Loved it. Started with a very friendly and informative introduction to the park, with a map and tour times provided, then a very knowledgeable tour guide who was very patient with questions from the group. We got to feed and pat the kangaroos, see the Tasmanian devils fed. These people are true hero's of the Tassie devil conservation world.
