It is the most amazing place to stay if you want to get away from the rat race of the city and spend quality time together with your partner so relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful island with lovely people that look after you.

Everything about East Bedarra Island Retreat is amazing! We spent 10 nights here and it’s absolute paradise. Cannot commend the caretakers enough for their extra added touches Eg. daily beautiful flowers & checking in to see if we ever needed anything etc.

This is one of the most romantic getaways we have ever stayed at. Pleasingly this was our second time to stay at this property. We stepped off the transfer with Mission Beach Charters, straight on to our private beach at East Bedarra Island Retreat and were met by the lovely caretakers Margie & Mike. They showed us around the villa over the sea, made sure we knew how everything worked and then left the island.
We were then on what seemed like our own private island, despite the other several homes situated further up the island. This place is amazing!!
The villa is full of everything you require, including snorkelling gear, two kayaks and your exclusive private pool.
If you want a truely romantic escape definitely stay at East Bedarra Island Retreat!!!

Amazing!!! Sue and her team and just too good, everything was organised to get us to the island. The facilities and accommodation are stunning. The caretaker was lovely and responded to any questions in just a few minutes and made sure everything was perfect. There was an issue with filling the pool on the first night, but they went above and beyond to get the issue sorted ASAP for us. The beach, reef and island are beautiful and we had so much fun exploring on the kayak and snorkling. Best destination for our honeymoon and I wouldn't change a thing.

East Bedarra Retreat was pure magic. You have the entire gorgeous house to yourself and it feels like you’re just about the only people on the whole island. A stunning, turquoise water private swimming area right in front of the house was amazing for cooling off and seeing the abundant marine life such as beautiful small reef sharks, turtles, and fish. Ending the day with an Aperol Spritz on the balcony while watching the sun set was divine.

The house itself was spacious and had everything you need to have an amazing stay. We even had our groceries (and alcohol!) delivered by water taxi, waiting for us unpacked when we got to the house. The team looked after us so well and I can not recommend a more dreamy holiday in all of Australia.

When we decided to go to East Bedarra for our second honeymoon, Sharon and her team ensured that we had an experience out of this world. They booked us into a honeymoon suite and it felt as if we had the whole island to ourselves. We got customized treatment and even had a private concierge on call 24 hours. This was the best holiday I have ever been on. We spent the days kayaking and swimming. Thank you Sharon, you can't compare North Queensland with anywhere else.

We had such a wonderful time during our recent visit to East Bedarra Island Retreat. It rained for at least half the time there and we had about four hours of sun in five days.

But it was wonderful! So relaxing. After an extremely busy six months at work it was great to just ‘veg out’ and relax. We are now booking again fro next year.

Margie and Mike are such a credit to your business; they were wonderful.

What an amazing place to forget all about your hassles of day to day life this place is truly paradise. To wake up and look out over the ocean and take 3 steps from your bedroom door for a dip in the plunge pool a great way to start the day, or you could take another half dozen steps to the gate and you are on the beach for beautiful refreshing swim in the ocean.

We also discovered this magic little beach between the rocks beside the deck which was all ours. Clothes are optional and we really felt we were the only people on the planet and we will certainly be returning and would recommend East Bedarra Island Retreat to anyone who wants to get away and recharge the batteries.

I flew my wife out to Australia from chilly London for a surprise anniversary present. I had seen pictures and read amazing reviews about East Bedarra Island but I can safely say that nothing prepared me for what it was like! I can't recommend it enough to anyone for a romantic experience where no rules apply!

We spent the weekend there. Reef in the bay. Lovely snorkeling. Paddled around the island. Walked the few trails. Fed the fish from the deck on the high tide. Jad a great time

Totally relaxation! A place where you can get back to nature and do nothing and enjoy the atmosphere. Everything at your fingertips, no crowds, eco friendly, however, with all the bells and whistles a 5 star experience! The weather was perfect, sunsets amazing! A perfect get away from the Sydney winter! East Bedarra you are beautiful! Look forward to coming back soon....

Absolutely beautiful island retreat. Had great relaxing stay here surrounded by the water and nature. Love the privacy and escape work life back it the UK. Would definitely recommend it and look forward to staying here again!

Unbelievable. Right on the water with a private little beach on either side. Huge deck for hanging out on and watching the sun sets with a glass of champagne. We saw a turtle when we went snorkeling. Our cold bones were able to thaw out here during our chilly winter in the northern hemisphere.

It is hard for photos to do this place justice. It is right on the water with a secluded beach either side and a rock pool off the bedroom. It is solar-powered and tucked away on the best part of the island. Wildlife is prolific. Paradise.

After our welcome, not a soul was seen during our 5 day stay on what was practically our own island - and yes, one late afternoon we did skinny dip in the beautiful private beach just steps away from our luxury villa.

Absolutely exquisite island property with a beautiful sandy beach right at your door. Views across the ocean to the neighbouring islands are stunning and the property is very tastefully decorated.

For our Elopement / Honeymoon I Could not of imagined a better place to say I do with my loving partner!! It was a magical day and as the week progressed the island continued to gift us with beautiful views and weather.
Our romantic week consisted of beautiful snorkelling in the reef that is amongst in the rocks right on your doorstep!
When not swimming, snorkelling or kayaking we found ourselves walking the beach and into the rainforest.
A highlight of the trip was collecting fresh oysters and fish, then cooking them up on the Webber!
Again couldn't imagine a better place to call my loving partner, my wife and the island will me one of the most memorable moments in my life!
