We had a drive through site was like a car park, but not to bad.
Tour was fantastic though the Gorge, guide was very knowledgeable, saw my first fresh water croc. We did the paddle boarding through the gorge first, would suggest to do the tour first.
Pool was so refreshing, food was yummy & staff are very friendly.
Must do the sunset lookout well worth the drive in. Walk into the lookout was good as well

Stayed on site in a powered site,
Very impressed with this site.had our first ever helicopter joy flight overlooking the whole property with great history from the pilot, well worth the flight before doing the tour of the Gorge.
The Gorge tour also is a must do
Thank you all at the Gorge for a pleasant stay.

Very well set up, we were in a caravan. The tour is well worth it and the staff are very knowledgeable and fun. Road in is dirt and rocky but ok. The trucks would appreciate a bit of space especially through the river beds. Even though they aren't going fast they cant stop quickly. Keep a ear out channel 40 and watch for dust clouds as you'll see that before them if no cb.

Well worth the trip in. 👌

Very well run, especially given its remote location. Good sized, comfortable rooms, amazing infinity edge pool overlooking lily pad strewn lake, with swim up bar. Friendly staff and good food.

Beaut spot. Cost for non powered site $18
Cost for Cobbald Gorge $114 single rate which is good value for a guided 3 hour tour. There is a communal fire to sit around at night. Only one thing is the beer cans are $9.50 but it is the outback so you expect to pay more. Loved my 2 days there.

Amazing amazing beautiful place to stay. Would happily stay longer. Highly recommend. Very relaxing, great facilities kept wonderfully clean, fantadtic service by very helpful and friendly staff. Pool is somewhere you want to be. Enjoyable walks/biking trails. Wish I had taken more photos but was too busy enjoying myself.

Great place. Shout out to their mechanic who was very helpful providing a helping hand for broken camp trailer.
Unpowered sites a bit cramped but the tour of the gorge made up for it more than enough.
Well setup and infinity pool is great to cool down in on a hot day.

This is a wonderful experience all round. The tour was phenomenal, the guides were very knowledgeable & the gorge is an absolute must see location. Stunning. Jump on a 4wd tour bus to get to the boat & hike location. Must take a tour to see the gorge. Toilets available at the gorge in the shed where you hop off the busses.
The infinity pool with swim up bar back at the village was the perfect way to unwind & take in the sunset each evening.
Caravan park sites are rocky, but lovely shaded sites overlooking the bush. Power & water available & amenities block always spotless.

Awesome place. We were camping in an unpowered site which is basically anywhere were is not powered site. The swimming pool is great. The amenities are kept clean but the kitchen a bit small. You can hop on the kayaks and go for a paddle. September is a bit hot but we managed ok with two kids (5 and 7yo). Getting there from Cairns is fine, a bit of corrugation but the road is great anyway. The gorge is fantastic, well spent money

A magical place. We only stayed for 3 nights but will stay at least a week next time. Breathtaking scenery, amazing tour guides and the meals were out of this world. I highly recommend you let the Chef's look after you for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We didn't cook once we were there and all meals were delicious!

We stopped in as we saw the signs as we headed to the location we were supposed to camp at. We are so glad we did!
We spent one night camping and one night in a cabin, doing a tour as well.
When we arrived the lady that assisted us was super friendly and helped us out alot.
Our camping experience was a dream; one of the best places we have camped at. The facilities were clean and well maintained- everything you could need when camping. With the option of cooking at your camp-site, or visiting the restaurant, there was more than enough options for meals. We chose to eat at the camp-site.
After doing the tour, we stayed in the cabin that night. We also dined at the restaurant. That was probably the only negative experience for us. The food was quite below average. We both ordered steaks with veg and potato. The steaks were so poorly cooked, it was a challenge to eat, so dinner was not finished.
The cabin was basic, however, it was clean and nice to sleep in a real bed after sleeping in a tent.
I would definitely come back- next time just to camp. I would also do the tour again. That was amazing!

Love this place....a must resort to visit. 5 Star caravan and camping facilities. The Gorge is sensational, the meals and bar are fantastic and the pool a great place to meet and cool off. The only criticism is that the guides do not have enough knowledge of the flora/fauna.

We went to Cobbold Gorge for the launch of their new glass bridge experience and found so much more. The bridge is amazing to walk over and completes the walking tour circuit but it was also the other experiences that made it so mind blowing. I have wanted to go for years and we loved all the wildlife, gorge tours in the boats, paddle boarding and the trip out to the quartz blow at sunset. The people were great and it was cool that they have Savannah Guides running the tours. Accommodation was great and so was the pool and eating area. I think when we go next time we will try the camping too. Highly recommend it and it should be on everyone's outback experience list.

Only able to book one night as so popular. We had a Station Suite which was well appointed, clean, spacious and comfortable. Use verandah to sit outside a marvel at the scenery and village. Useful pathway lighting. Food and drinks were fine. Wine was well priced.

Cobbold Gorge is a surprisingly large resort style experience smack bang in the middle of the outback. It caters for campers but also has clean modern cabins to choose from. The Gorge tour and helicopter tour are a must (why else would you be there?) as well as some great walking/cycling tracks. The sunsets under 'big sky' country in Australia are second to none and made all the more enjoyable when relaxing in the large infinity pool.
It would have been great if the pool bar was open and the restaurant seemed understaffed and understocked. Not surprising though given the challenges 2020 has thrown at tourism and hospitality. I would definitely return here and highly recommend to others.

Amazing place. It looks exactly like the photos & brochures. Staff are very friendly, accommodating & knowledgeable. Lots of things to do. Not very expensive. Do the helicopter ride! You need a 4wd to get there comfortably but a great option is an organised bus from Friday's. Do it!
