Wonderful location, and the owners have done well to make the place comfortable. The pool and restaurant/bar are truly restful after a day of touring. The gorge itself is beautiful and the tour guides were full of information so that what we did and saw was in context. A little pricey, but I imagine the costs of servicing the facility have a fair bit to do with that.

Really enjoy our stay out here. The gorge tour was totally worth it with 2 teens in tow. So much great information & tour guide was great at engaging the teens. We all enjoyed it. We ended up staying 4 nights.

If you don't do the gorge tour then maybe not worth travelling out there

It is a little off the beaten track to get here and the car rental companies don’t particularly like you bringing there cars out here as there is a fair bit of dirt and possible creek crossings in the wet. But with that said we had a small conventional hire car and it was raining pretty hard and we had no issues. The accommodation is excellent there is a fantastic restaurant bar area by a beautiful pool with a great outlook. There is also a good little camping area too.
We chose to do the stand up paddle boarding which was a great choice, you go in the late arvo which is the best time of day. And is only a very small group which is really nice. So quite and peaceful. There are also some beautiful walks in the area.

We had an absolute blast at the Gorge. We did two tours the day tour and the stand up paddle boarding. Both tours were with the same tour guide and he was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant was abazing, pricey but totally worth it my steak was perfectly cooked and prawn entree was beautiful. Cocktails were lovely by the pool and the swim in the pool was so relaxing. I highly recommend this place to visit.

Very informative tour. Comfortable 4wd bus to the site. Easy walk and peaceful boat ride up the gorge. Well worth the trip.
Great camping at the gorge.
Shower and toilet combined in one room..so suitablefor family to shower together...and plenty available as well as just toilet rooms.

We were just day visitor's. It is very well organised and the amenities were clean. We could have used the pool while waiting for an afternoon chopper flight but we didn't as it was a bit cool. Our guide was Grant and he was fantastic, very knowledgeable about all the bush tucker and about the gorge itself. The only down side was the road into the gorge. Very rough and pot holed.

We stayed in one of the motel style cabins. The kitchenette was suitable for making breakfast. Aircon worked well. Bed and shower were ok. Dinner in the restaurant was ok - limited menu but the food was good. The 3 hour tour of the gorge was excellent. We had a great guide (thanks Don) and the tour was well balanced between exploring inside and above the gorge. The “infinity” pool and poolside bar were much appreciated after a hot day.

We camped and loved our stay here. The facilities were always clean and the staff were always friendly and accommodating. We also really appreciated that they held an ANZAC Day service so everyone could pay their respects. We will definitely be back!

Wow. This was a great addition to our trip. The staff were excellent. The tour was informative, interesting and so beautiful. Easy walks. Kayaks available for free use. The night sky is stunning from sunset to sunrise. The sunset helicopter tour was breathtaking (though too much food was provided for the picnic! It felt wasteful). We saw so much wildlife and it’s clear they care for the vast lands around them.

The only negative was the corrugated road with lots of dips that make visibility poor for what’s coming. Was a challenge with our 2WD wagon. Imagine it would be hard with a caravan. Definitely be prepared to take it slow on the stretch in.

Awesome experience - just be mindful internet is very very patchy and no phone service. Food is amazing, pool superb after a day at the gorge and the gorge (and associated story with it) spectacular!!! Drive in is also a bit of an experience especially when towing a van.
Highly recommend- although probably 2 nights max is enough

Fairly expensive day tour but worth it. Highlights were gliding through the beautiful gorge on small boats and walking up and over the escarpment via the glass bridge. Our guide Jim was very informative and considerate of people with less mobility so all completed the walk quite comfortably. Only adverse comment would be that there was a relative lack of information on the local Ewamian people, and a more inclusive discussion on the impacts of pastoralisation on the region…

Easter 2023 Cobbold Gorge. Everything was great. The resort and environment is beautiful. The camping area looked lovely. The boat tour on the gorge was well organised, informative and amazing. Helicopter flights over the gorge are available. We recommend a visit. I noticed that it was very suited to taking children and many families with children were holidaying here due to it being Easter holidays. There is freedom and space to roam around, a beautiful pool, a dam with canoes to paddle on, and some children had taken bikes to ride. The children would learn about the area and benefit from travelling here in a fun and unconfined way. It is a great spot to visit.

We stayed in an unpowered caravan site and loved it! Amenities were clean. The tour was sensational with a very informative guide (Glen).
Infinity pool was divine!
Highly recommend.

What an oasis amongst the red dust off the Savannah way.
Head towards Georgetown turnoff down almost to forsayth then take the gradded dusty road to this incredible place.
Suggest you pull in to lovely Goldfields pub in Forsayth for lunch and a beer to cool off inside or out to reset before driving on to Cobbold Gorge.
3hr Gorge tour with Glen is so worth it!

Love this place especially the guided tour. We had Glenn as our tour guide who was just amazing. Having his lovely wife serve us at the bar. Both make this place special with their warm welcoming personalities. I totally recommend friends come visit. Thank you Glenn and your wife for making memories for my son and I.

What a fabulous find. Was not expecting such great facilities - infinity pool, bar, restaurant, free kayaks. And the gorge is beautiful.

We drove across from Forsayth to do the gorge tour and thanks to our guides Glen and Graham, we had a wonderful time. The gorge was beautiful and the guides were so knowledgeable and helpful and made sure everyone in the group had the best experience possible.

Great place to visit.

We stayed 3 days two nights. The unpowered camp sites were a bit dusty and hap hazardous arranged, though the highlight was the reflection pool, and bistro. Amazing staff made the stay fantastic and that's before we even got to the gorge.

The tour is amazing and well arranged, if a bit busy with nearly 50 people. The guides were great and helped out the older folk with the walk which is no more than a km. The absolute best past was the stand up paddleboard tour. Just 6 of us in the gorge. Going the whole length.

Will be coming back.

A fantastic experience ... but the downside is the 43km of rough corrugated road in and out.( Not 2wd friendly! )The guides were top notch, the gorge magnificent, accommodation great and food was brilliant with terrific portions.
