Hoi Polloi Cafe

One of my favourite cafes in town! Don’t let this little hidden gem fool you from its great coffee to funky decor to its great wall mural! The staff are so lovely and the service is always fast. I feel like I am starting my day the right way when I call in here on my way to work or on the weekend when I have some more time to relax!

I enjoyed everything about this place; the absolutely cool vibes it has (loved the deco 🤩) following one of the best coffees I've had in a while and the delicious shortbread cookies which were to die for. Definitely planning to come back for more!

My number-one choice for the best coffee in town. I’ve also tried their Ruebens and ham, cheese and tomato croissant, both very tasty and highly recommended. The staff is lovely and their melbourbian look decor original and stylish 🙌🏻

Hidden cafe. Well decorated inside and outside. Have small and big room inside. Cafe is tasty. Also have some board games to play

Good service, reasonable prices and a nice quaint, somewhat hipster, setting. The staff were really nice and allowed us to stay later as they were closing up to finish our game of battleships! Haha. Aside from that, if what you're after in a cafe is good coffee and a nice relaxed setting with interesting decor, this is a perfect visit.

Served delicious iced lattes on plant-based milk (with metal straws!!) by two lovely baristas. Very cool cafe decked out with vintage trinkets, plenty of board games and books to keep you entertained during your visit. Highly recommend

Strongly recommend this place. Perfect for friend meetings or dates. Very good experience: nice coffee, alternative music, personal service. Best part is all decoration making an UNIQUE cafe in town. Weekend nights have very good vibes too!! Just go!

Had a lovely brekkie at the Hoi Polloi Cafe, the food was really good and the coffee excellent - all served by Victoria,the smiling barista.
Also loved the Art Deco interior and the decorations. Inside and outside seating available.
Highly recommended!

Mum says "good coffee, very hot with good aroma, nice tartness. Loved the banana bread thanks to the walnuts and banana chunks. Also liked the seating outside! Nb. Table had character but a bit wobbly. Still liked it."

Avacado toast was fab and cappuccino had chocolate chunks on top. So delicious!

Great coffee, smoothie and rueben were lovely, and the granola cup and mcdoyle were amazing. Perfect servings , large, not huge and fills you up. Finished it in record time. Gorgeous hidden gem in Townsville cbd.
