Big Rig Tourist Park

Planned a 1 night stop over and stayed 5, beautiful people and a beautiful spot. After our dog had been attacked by an off leash dog at a previous camp, the owners bent over backwards to help, giving us choice of site and giving us a little space until our dog settled. Lots to do and all in walking distance, this one is on our list for next time, thanks guys.

We weren’t planning to stay in Roma but we needed a new gas regulator asap. Dave and Sheree were very accomodating and fitted us in at the last minute. Dave was also very helpful when it came to fitting the regulator and also gave us advice on how to check where our shower leak is coming from. The park is quiet and has everything needed for a pleasant stay in Roma. Words can’t express how thoughtful and helpful this couple are. Thanks so much!

This was the first place we stopped at on our travels to western Queensland. We had an easy spot to reverse our caravan into at the park. The managers at the park were friendly and great to chat too. Park amenities were great, clean and tidy. The price was great for that time of year and it was easy access to get into and out of..

Can't comment on rooms/cabins as I stayed in a powered tent site...hands down one of the best sites I've stayed at.

Quiet, clean and lovely staff. Shower was fantastic and all amenities spotlessly clean. Highly recommended!!!

Prime tourists attraction with plenty to learn and laugh about, you won't be disappointed.

We had an unplanned stop on the way to Carnarvon Gorge. Very friendly. Safe, quiet, convenient spot. Amenities were clean and nice hot showers. We didn’t get time to swim, but the pool looked inviting and clean. Would recommend 👍🏻

We have been here twice in the last 5 weeks and would definitely go back again.
Dave and his partner do a top job keeping this park clean and well maintained..
They are also extremely helpful and always happy to make you feel very welcome.

We had a good stay here. Facilities were great.

Fantastic, we stayed 2 nights, Dave and Sheree were very accommodating. The amenities were very clean, the whole park was clean and tidy. Loved the courtesy bus that took us to the pub where we had the greatest meal.
Dave was very helpful in helping us with our van.👍

Staff are very friendly and guide you to your site. On-site chef & food truck has been visiting, roasts, fish & chips, lamb chops, shanks or ribs, something different each night. Amenities very clean & great hot showers. Park centrally located to town plus walk across road to visit the Big Rig Info centre. Excellent history of the findings of gas in QLD.

Cherie and Dave and staff were so helpful and friendly when we stayed last week. The amenities were spotless and the swimming pool looked so inviting. Laundry needed 2 $2 coins and there were plenty clotheslines. It's only a short walk into town or to the Big Rig. We will always remember our stay.

We had a disability "cabin" but was actually a donga. There was no ramp to go onto the path from the parking lot, luckily we carry a ramp. The room was cleanish and the shower was well set out, BUT the bed was sunken in on one one side, the chair was broken. Husband was lucky not to hurt himself when arm fell off. Would not stay there again.

Very friendly park to stay in. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again next time we are in Roma.

We arrived in Roma to 43 degrees, 3 weeks ago and the managers, Dave & Sheree were very welcoming. Dave showed us to our site and helped set up the van! Dave noticed the hand brake on the van was very tight, so the next day he arranged for the brake to be loosened so we could manage it easier. We had trouble with our satellite dish, so once again Dave helped to arrange for an auto electrician to come out. The park and amenities were clean, plus it was fantastic to use the pool in the very hot weather. We have never had such a fantastic service. We highly recommend this park, and would definitely stay there again!

Had a wonderful time staying here. Managers Sheree and Dave are so wonderful. We were checking in for Easter in the Country and the park was so busy! They did not make us feel rushed when we were checking in. The park itself was very clean. Showers were awesome too.

The only suggestion we have would be to add another toilet block if possible. The boys toilets especially were flat out in the mornings according to hubby. Will definitely stay here on our next visit. Thank you!

Great park handy to everything. Booked for 1 night decided to stay another. Clean well looked after park with lovely management. Big surprise to see that the park has introduced a permanent food dinner van which was fabulous. Drive thru sites are handy.

Just like to thank the managers of the big rig for an amazing easter long weekend stay at one of their camping sites, my family and i had the best time. Everyone was friendly, the managers are very helpful and fun to talk to and have a laugh, the amenities were clean and tidy and it wasn't noisy it was just perfect. Anyone who is heading to Roma in the future and needs somewhere to stay i highly recommend the big rig. We will definitely be coming back here. Also is in a perfect spot to walk into town don't have to drive if you don't want to.

We really enjoyed our stay here, location is fantastic and close to everything. Pool beautiful and cool in the hot weather. Spotless ammenities and very tidy park. The park managers were very welcoming and went above and beyond! Will definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone visiting Roma.

I booked into the Big Rig Tourist Park for 5 weeks as part of a practicum for my university course. I was nervous as a female young adult travelling by myself to a caravan/cabin park... I could not have been more wrong. Ree and Dave were amazing - I could not sing their praises more. They were so welcoming, made sure I knew I was safe and they were looking out for me, the cabins were clean and quite spacious, I was surprised! In my cabin I had a fridge, stovetop, plenty of pots, pans, cupboards, and there was even a BBQ if I wanted to cook outside. The property had two coin operated laundry areas, including washing lines, and a beautiful pool. If you need somewhere to stay in Roma - I cannot suggest the Big Rig Tourist Park with Ree and Dave more. Definitely book here!

This park is amazing, clean, beautifully positioned , the park was amazing across from caravan park for my morning walk, roast from the food truck was amazing., cabins spotlessly clean as were amenities. . Well done to all.
