The Balcony Restaurant

We went there to have a quick breakfast and it was so good! Great coffee and attentive service. Food was delicious! We got a bacon chop and potato-sweet corn croquettes. Everything was so-so good! Highly recommend this place!

The staff are friendly and engaging with the customers. Fast and quality food, coffee is well blended and a family friendly location.

I was here 18.03.2023 I had the chicken avocado sandwich with Camembert and a fresh juice. Both very delicious. Thanks a lot. I recommend a lot.

We had Big Breakfast, Chicken Avocado and Camembert Panini and a Steak Sandwich and it was all beautiful. Staff were friendly and place was cosy and nice. A must try for breakfast brunch or lunch.

A great cafe sitting high above Flinders Street and super busy on Sunday. We enjoyed our breakfast very much and had chilli baked eggs and chorizo Benedict. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out fast. The chilli was really yummy!

The best breakfast and lunches in town! The fresh Homemade hollandaise sauce on the Bennys are worth the trip alone. The big breakfast is epic, the fresh juices and smoothies are to die for and coffee is made perfectly each time. Love the calamari salad and the burgers 🍔 OMG. The staff overall are the most friendly people in Townsville and really set the standard in customer service.

Hands down the friendliest staff of any cafe in Townsville. Very welcoming and bubbly staff, it is always a delight to eat here. Perfect for a market day brunch or midweek lunch. Big breaky is substantial and delicious, eggs bene good. Giant pancake is better suited for two, a bit too thick and cake-like for our tastes. Bacon chop was great. Mango smoothie was the best we've had EVER - it really was that good. One of our favourite cafes in Townsville.

We went with my husband to Townsville for a weekend, and we went to the Balcony on Saturday and it was so good, so, we had to back on Sunday again.
Friendly service, very good eggs benedict and lovely cocktails

Coffee was exceptional. Lattes are served in tall glasses, which is always too much milk for me, and creates a hot milk drink with coffee aromas. I requested mine in a small glass, and that was the right size.

Eggs Benedict came with spinach, which I found a bit different (surely this makes is a combination of Florentine & Benedict?). The spinach was creamed and had a nice flavour. But it over powered the taste of the hollandaise.

The bacon was cooked to near perfection. Much better than most places in Townsville are able to achieve. Crispy, yet retaining flavour and not burnt at all. A good result!

All in all a very tasty meal, but some refinement of the flavours would make it perfect.

Had thai chicken green curry for brunch and it was beautiful. For the first time I really enjoyed my 'asian meal' here in Townsville. Will definitely come back. 😍😍😍😍😍

This is the only place my partner and I seem to go on dates, and I'm okay with that! We usually go for breakfast. The food is always amazing, and the coffee is pretty good too. On busy days, it doesn't seem to matter how many people they have to tend to, they always give very prompt service and they always make you feel valued. They handle busy rushes very well. If you can catch them on a quiet day it's even better! Either way, they've got an amazing team, incredible chefs and lovely food.

Quality little restaurant in the city. Frequent this establishment for breakfast and absolutely look forward to it each week.

Loved this place. Food was spot on and the standout was the Bean and Chorizo Eggs Benedict.
The Balcony actually has a Balcony overlooking Flinders Street and is quite secluded.
Apparently the Beef Burger was an absolute winner as well with the team even making it for our table at breakfast the following day.
