Hinataya

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Sydney! Their food is so beautifully presented and they have both indoor and outdoor seating (dog friendly!)

I loved their nigiri, their cheesy chicken katsu curry and their grilled onagi.

I'm a local and am kicking myself for not trying this place sooner. Lovely sushi and noodles. The grilled scallops melt in your mouth. Had a chicken and rice dish (forgot the name) and the chicken was oh so tender.

Staff were courteous, had colourful kids cutlery on hand for toddlers.

Overall, a wonderful relaxed dining experience

Our first time coming to this restaurant. The service is quick and the staff are all nice. The food was good for the price range. It's dog friendly where dogs owners can sit in the outer part of the restaurant. BYO wines with only $3.50 corkage fee.

Great fresh varied menu. Everything we ate was fantastic. Such a gem for a local Japanese place. The Benton boxes were great value and the sashimi was very fresh. Randomly the Brussels sprouts were really great!

The food and service were great here. Ordered the Karaage Chicken Bento box and some sushi and they were both very nice. Just wish the bento box portions were a bit larger, left with a free ice cream wafer as we had some minor inconveniences with the seating so that was also nice

Fun, interesting and well balanced modern Japanese. The pork belly doc was a real surprise! Lovely! Also, it is very affordable. I had my birthday there. We ate until we could not move, for less than $30a head.

Have a really nice lunch with my friend. The venue was small yet beautiful. Love the freshness of the sashimi, and the salmon roll is delicious. Thank u for your friendly service. Definitely would come back.

This restaurant is up there in terms of their system for ordering food. I’ve seen this at a few places now and they order it on a iPad system. Each item has a picture of what it looks like which helps a lot when you can’t decide on what you want.

The quality of the food was fresh and high. Food came out fairly quickly during lunch hour on a weekday.

Definitely coming back here again!

A great little Japanese restaurant with pretty light decorations and very friendly staff. You order from an iPad so it's very quick and easy, the food also comes out fast. Food was delicious, we would definitely come back!

Great tasting food and variety. Staff was very attentive today and cleared our table as we finished each dish.

Came over on a Wednesday night and couldn't be happier with this new restaurant. You order via iPads, all sushi was fresh and tasty and came in generous servings. Staff was smiley and attentive. Price was right too! Oh, and drinking water came in a cute carafe with a slice of lemon in it - the small details that count a lot. Thanks Hinataya!

So good, really good quality Japanese food, even the ginger and wasabi are delicious. the staff was helpful and friendly too. Highly recommended

I love this place. The price is a bit expensive in comparison to other restaurants but food is high quality, amazing and worth the money.

A very easy 5 stars for this little gem. Always great sushi and great, friendly service. The only negative is the salads which are leafy and lacking in flavour. Everything else is great though 5/5

Everything was delicious - fresh, perfectly cooked, great value. A great place to share a bunch of tasty dishes. The sashimi and grilled scallops were my favourites. Staff are lovely too. I’ll definitely come back!

Food was delicious, and staff were kind and efficient. A wonderful experience, it’s a shame I don’t live in this state!
