If it could be zero it would. We very specifically called "Auto New Business", a subsidiary of St George / Westpac group in search of Finance for a Caravan. Asked a billion questions, those including issues with the current Pandemic. We wished to find out the likely-hood of finance being approved ahead of undertaking the process so as to not waste anyones time. We were told all is good!
1 week of chasing up all the necessary documentation, followed by a phone call saying "good news, its approved", another week chasing up invoices, going into branch to do customer on-boarding where the branch had no idea what was required and then I had to do it manually anyway a couple days later by finding a JP.
All to find a week after that, the customer officer calling and saying its not approved due to the Pandemic and you need a 35% deposit! Apparently they had spent a week trying to get an exemption to this rule, because they didn't tell us in the first place before we started the process. But then proceeded anyway to tell us it was approved and sent us chasing up documents, knowing full well it was 99% likely to need a 35% deposit or wouldn't be approved.
We now have the enquiry on our credit and 2 weeks wasted all which would have been avoided had all the necessary info been provided in the first place when we asked. Horrible service.

The amount of cigarettes on the ground outside Westpac gates is disgusting 🤢. George Street. Littered by their own employees. Very unethical. Can easily witness this any time during weekdays.

I have just walked past this service centre and was shocked and disgusted with the amount of cigarette butts on the ground. This is a blight on your company. The rubbish will find its way into the water system poisoning our rivers. Shame on Westpac !
