Phase one of the Acton Waterfront project was the creation of Henry Rolland Park and construction of the first 150 metres of boardwalk. Commenced in November 2016 and opened to the public in April 2018. It is now a high-quality public space that is already attracting high usage as a popular lakeside location, continued construction on Phase two towards Acton Park.

My visit to Henry Rolland Park was a delightful escape into a serene urban oasis. Located along the picturesque shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra, the park offered a perfect blend of tranquility and recreational opportunities. The well-maintained walking trails provided a scenic route for leisurely strolls, allowing me to soak in the beauty of the surrounding nature. The park's well-designed picnic areas and seating options invited me to relax and enjoy the panoramic views of the lake and the city skyline. The park's thoughtful amenities, such as playgrounds and fitness equipment, catered to visitors of all ages and interests. Henry Rolland Park was a true gem, offering a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and a chance to connect with nature in the heart of the city.

Nice place for evening walk with kids. There are also setup of electric stove so can be enjoy barbecue if allow by council.
