Beautiful waterfront view at a quiet locale. Staff is very helpful. Dishes come out fast. They nailed all the components of our dishes. Such a decadent dinner. Strongly recommend squid and chorizo salad, short rib and eye fillet steak. We were quite full after.

On the 21st of January 2024 I got married and had my wedding reception at the southern cross yacht club. It was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t fault anything, the food was exceptional the staff/service were outstanding. We hired the whole venue. I walked into this venue and fell in love and couldn’t have imagined how my day could have been any better. I 1000% recommend this venue. Thank you so much for helping make my day so special. I cannot wait to return 💗.

We had our wedding reception in the balcony area of the upstairs restaurant. Throughout the whole planning process, the events and admin team were incredibly responsive and helpful. When things went a little less than perfect with this or that, the staff were incredibly flexible and supportive. If we were to go through this process again, we would 100% pick the same venue. It is a beautiful location, with incredible staff, and great food and drinks, all for very fair prices. We loved it. Thank you for being such an incredible venue for our wedding reception and taking such good care of us.

We had my son’s baptism celebration at the Lotus room. Place was great, facing the lake. Food was amazing! Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Will be back for sure!

What a beautiful place to est, drink and absorb the surroundings. I've been craving amazing Fish n Chips since I left Scotland, and finally I found some! Beautiful, fresh, tasty, served quickly and extremely reasonably priced. Despite the high winds and a large branch falling on my head we had a lovely afternoon. We loved that our dog was also welcome and the live music was a super extra special touch to our sunny Sunday. The fish box for 2 was a great option although I preferred the prawns to the calamari and tge chips were yummy n crispy. Order the battered rather than crumbed...personal preference. The place was buzzing and vibrant and I really loved the vodka lemon lime bitters on tap...yummmm and refreshing! We'll be back, like next weekend 👍😍🐟

First time visitor. Staff very professional. Upon arrival. Heaps of packing. Located right near the Lake.Drink prices very reasonable. Very clean throughout. Give them 100 stars. Highly recommended

Can't beat the location, I just had takeaway... So deep fried fish and chips, but really tasty.

Edit - The manager kindly offered to make it up to us. We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch. Food was delicious and the view is beautiful during the day when you can fully appreciate it

Disappointing. We came to celebrate my mother's 80th. They seated our group at 2 separate tables (a detail they had not mentioned when we booked) . The table had some half dead flowers. Some of the dishes were outstanding, but others were very standard. Below expectation for the price

Both my parents visited the boat club restaurant a few weeks ago and were inadvertently charged double for their meals including drinks. The staff were aware that there might have been a system malfunction and had written a note in case there had been a double charge. My parents noticed a few days later there had been and went back to the club for a refund and had been assured it had been taken care of. However after a few more weeks the refund still had not appeared so me and my father went there to find out why. Jason, venue manager, was present and able to assist us and rectify the problem swiftly, professionally, apologetically and with a smile. This was excellent service from Jason, we were extremely surprised, and grateful that our faith in the club was restored. Thankyou again.

Had lunch at Snapper after my daughter's private church wedding. Food was excellent, service was good. The view was terrific. We will definitely come back when we visit the couple.

Such a lovely spot. Limited parking means it's never to crowded. Lots of people sitting in the evening watching the sunset.

Canapes while cruising on the lake. A magical day. Sadly that marquee is gone now but it's still a lovely spot to sit and have fish and chips

Fantastic service. Jess and her co worker behind the bar are exceptional! These two make dining there the best. Always friendly always have a chat. Old fashion quality service.

Gotta say that since the upgrade this place is a brilliant spot for a relaxed afternoon with family and friends.
Plenty of tables or take a picnic rug on the grass is you want a little more space.
Food came out quick and while on the pricey side it is worth it.

I have enjoyed the yarralumla yacht club for many years and I always highly recommend it for the best fish and chips in canberra. Great service, excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere. Nice place to bring the family and have a picnic by the lake. Really one of the best spots in canberra.

Actually went on the dinner cruise not in the Club itself, highly recommend the Cruise. Food was great, views sensational but best in warmer months

I have spent a lot of time in Canberra over the years but I have never made it to the Yacht Club.

Luckily for me, on my last visit my Grandfather suggested that we have an afternoon out at the Yacht Club as it is one of his favourite places to go. It was also somewhere that he took all of his Children.

The food was fantastic and the outside area was great. There was a duo playing music on the lawn to the backdrop of many sailing boats floating around the lake.

When visiting the Southern Cross Yacht club I got to see the happiness it brought out from him, seeing his grandchildren play in the same places that his children did, eating at the same spot and all spending time together as a family.

I will be back.

Good food and good atmosphere, it isn't your typical club. Food was better that your standard club, but it also comes with a slightly higher price too. It was a nice place and I will be back.
