WOMPINNI STATION

We had a lovely long weekend camping at Kerry & Eric’s. Their property is amazing, where the mallee meets the Murray, with stunning scenery and amazing birdlife. As hosts they were lovely and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. They welcomed us to their private Dawn service for Anzac Day which was a privilege and special experience which was topped off by home cooked waffles for breakfast and lovely company. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us and making it such a great experience, we hope to be back soon.

Amazing hosts Eric and Kerry very accommodating. Both Eric and Kerry couldn't do enough for us awesome woodfired pizzas with home-grown fresh ingredients and homemade sauces. They made sure our group had everything we needed.
Stunning location high on the river bank looking down the river and bush on the Victorian side. Very talented young artist to check out Jazzie and her creations. Very comfortable accommodation with "flushing toilets" thanks Eric.

Great hosts. Great resident Artist. Great place to see & stay for a river tour & wood oven pizza. Loved it & have told our friends. Go the extra to see the not-so-mainstream & reap the rewards.

Great place to stay on the banks of the Murray. Recently refurbished rooms, comfy beds, nice en-suite rooms. The hosts Eric and Kerry were very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend the drive out of town to this top spot!!

Great experience at Wompinni station! This is the perfect camp to base yourself in and experience the Australian outback. Situated on the banks of the River Murray, there is plenty to explore in Rufus. Also, you get to see one of the clearest sky in Rufus. I was mesmerised by the beautiful star studded sky. The hosts, Kerry and Eric were most wonderful, making our stay comfortable. Highly recommend a stay at Wompinni station!

Kerry and Eric are very welcoming hosts . Some great sand dunes to explore on their property as well as an old shearing shed . The setting is stunning overlooking the Murray River .We were travelling down river in boats and there is plenty of room to tie up . Don't forget to try one of Kerry's wood fired pizza's, superb .

Absolutely amazing time here! Definitely stay for a few nights if possible to get the full experience! So nice and quiet and a great experience with the hosts. A definite to do again

Had a great time staying, it's really remote and peaceful, and the hosts were helpful and fun to talk to. It's a little tricky coming from SA because google gets the roads wrong.

Kerry and Eric are fantastic hosts making our stay a memorable experiance in a fantastic setting on the riverbank. Jasmine's artwork is outstanding and well worth checking out.

Amazing location, great hosts Kerry and Eric. Beautiful scenery, great walks amongst the sand dunes, swimming and fishing in the beautiful Murray River. Awesome pizza night. Serenity. Bird life abundant on a busy working station lifestyle.

Camping facilities are clean and well maintained. We spent 6 nights camping and will definately be back. Simply stunning.

Our family had a very enjoyable stay with Eric, Kerry & Jaz at Wompinni.
They were extremely welcoming hosts, providing us with the perfect afternoon/evening under the stars, by the beautiful river.
Eric gave us an interesting tour of the property, with some amazing views overlooking the river and country side around Wompinni.
Jazz’s art is amazing. We were given a comprehensive tour of the beautiful gallery. Looking forward to future works.
We will definitely be back to visit our newest friends.

We had an amazing time. Kerry and Eric are amazing hosts. The quietest part of the Murray River we have ever seen, absolute serenity. Great fishing, kayaking and chill out time. Spotless toilet and shower facilities. Sundowners at the bar area, where Eric shared his wealth of knowledge about the area. We will be back.

The most amazing farm stay right on the Murray River with the nicest family you will ever meet. The cabins and amenities are sensational, waking up to the serenity of the station is breathe taking. You will love the contrast between the red sand and the Murray cliffs. Come for a night a nd you will never leave!! The resident artist is incredibly talented as well. Her artwork adorns the walls 9f the cabins. We will be back!

Stayed a couple of nights with some friends we all agreed this was one of the best camps we've had , on the edge of the Murray River even did a trip up the River to McCabe's Corner ,powered sites if you wish ,camp kitchen over looking the river,showers were awesome there's even an artist lives on site. It's a credit to the owners Eric n Kerry ,very welcoming. I will be back

Excellent place to visit. The camping is sensational as is the location. Great local area to explore, the bar on the water is amazing and the hosts are fantastic. Showers and toilets too! Do yourself a favour and visit!
