Chowilla Regional Reserve

Beautiful in summer with warm summer days and cool summer nights.

Absolutely an amazing place to go, a range of camp sites with awesome river views, have been out there heaps of times and would definently recommend visiting this place 👍

It is very peaceful camping. If booking a camp site the signal is marginal on Optus. The regulator is holding some water back so there is plenty of water in the creeks now. A lot of birds and Lace Monitors. The stars are excellent.

We loved the serenity and absolute nothing-ness. You can see more stars here than most places in SA. Lots of wildlife, including emu, kangaroo and goanna. The gum trees provide shade and there are clear paths for walking around the reserve and to other camp sites. We will visit again. To note: it can be noise near the boat ramp

to be honest,l lost myself,i could find the river,so sad.

Drove 3hrs to get here only to struggle to find the camp due to very poor signage further into the park and to top it off once we were on our way to the camp-site we found a locked gate deep in the park on the access track tk our camp. All closures were checked prior to booking. Very poor management. Of you're going to close a gate to multiple paid camp sites do your job and update it. Don't waste your time in this mundane park. Just go to Renmark
