Department of Pizza

Classic and authentic Italian pizza. Puffy and chewy crust, thin base, delicious and high quality toppings. All the pizzas we had were great - favourites were the ham and mushroom and potato. Rocket salad also well done.

Very minor suggestion would be a bit more salt in the dough but maybe that’s just my preference.

Would definitely recommend and come again when I visit Canberra.

One of the best locals in Campbell! We always love their pizza, booze and atmosphere. We ended up staying there late and the kind staff gave a leftover tiramisu for us to share. 10/10

We had dinner here and enjoyed the pizza. Staff were friendly and attentive. Orders were served quickly and the vegetable pizza was delicious. The pizza crust is thin and light, which is just nice.

This place is one of my favourite restaurants in Canberra and has the best pizzas in town!! Always love coming here with a big group so you can share different pizzas. Our favourites are the four cheese, potato pizza and zucchini&proscuitto. I’m not a big blue cheese fan but their Gorgonzola on pizza really elevated the pizza’s taste to the next level. The service is always amazing and staffs are always very attentive.

Have been to the Department of Pizza a few times now and it has quickly become my favourite italian pizza restaurant in Canberra. Pizzas are delicious and authentic. The service is quick, efficient and friendly. Great place to go with friends or as a couple.

Easily the best pizza in Canberra!

A minimalist authentic style Italian cafe/restaurant nestled in Blamey Place Campbell. The pizza’s are traditional wood fired and without a knife and fork need to be eaten New York style (folded so the topping doesn’t slip out). They are simple but absolutely delicious!😋😋😋 I was part of a large group of 14 celebrating a friend’s significant birthday and while a little cramped the evening was most enjoyable with the delightful young gentlemen serving us doing everything to make us comfortable. The wine list is simple but adequate but no spirits if thats what you prefer. The desert was a Tiramisu birthday cake specially made for us to share and it was the lightest, fluffiest Tiramisu I think I have ever tasted. I can’t wait to go back with just a small group to explore the menu further. 🍝 🍕 🥗🥂
21/7/21 Went back with a friend for her birthday lunch. The pizzas were perfect and we shared a very tasty simple salad with a red wine reduction dressing. Delizioso❣😋

Best pizza in Canberra. Great dough, quality toppings, it's my go to when I want to splurge on a pizza.

Great tasting simple pizzas which remind me of pizza in New York. The dough had great taste and texture while the toppings and sauce were FRESH. No spirits but they have a nice wine list. The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions.

Fast service! I had my garlic prawn pizza in around 5 minutes. Spicy, but not too spicy. Really delicious. On my own tonight, will return with friends and family. Pizza was $25, plenty big enough for one hungry bloke. Wait staff and Maître d' were attentive and friendly.

The following makes me sound obsessed by drink prices. I must note that I was provided with a nice, chilled carafe and glass when seated without having to ask. Nice one.

Regarding drinks, the Campari soda was $17 which seemed steep at first. It was perfectly mixed though and served with a large orange slice and big 🧊 I had a cappuccino after my meal; good, but not amazing- I prefer more flavourful coffee, I'll just get another shot next time. Coffee was $7, 😰 but maybe that's normal for the Campbell shops?

First of all, the fact that they just have some pizzas and salad in their menu make them special. Instead of doing many things normal, just do one thing special. It was one of the best juicy pizzas I ever had. We ordered Salami with mushroom and olive, which was great. The pizza's bread was amazing, and I believe thats their magic key. The staff were so welcoming and the service we recieved was amazing. Highly recommended 👌🍻

Incredible. Loved the authentic woodfired pizza, cooked to perfection and delicious cannoli for dessert, with a crunchy shell 😋

I'm from Melbourne, here for a conference. It's 4 degrees, feels like 1 degree and raining. With a name like the Department of Pizza how can I not try this? The reviews are great and the pizza certainty does not disappoint! Garlic prawns, perfect amount of chilli, same with the cheese and fresh tomatoes. That crust was sensational. Why can't I get pizza this good in Melbourne? Hats off to you. You've made my day. Thank you.

My friend and I had lunch here recently. The Margherita pizza was so delicious, as were our desserts of tiramisu and cannoli. Waiter was attentive and service quick. We are coming back!

My friend and I at the last minute decided to have dinner here after work tonight. The menu had a great variety of pizzas, some starters and deserts.

There were so many great choices it was hard to narrow it down but we both eventually did. The pizzas were cooked to perfection, just the right amount of topping i.e. very traditional Italian topping and not overloaded, and a great flavoured base.

I've been trying to find a great pizza place since my favourite place closed down several years ago and I feel I have found it.

The customer service was excellent also.

Great spot for a date night and the potato pizza is always a knock-out! Super fresh dough, great combos of toppings and selections of desserts.

As someone who has enjoyed all types of pizza in places around the world, i still say with confidence that Department of Pizza in Campbell was one of the best pizza restaurants ive ever dined in. this testament was shared also by the rest of my family too.

Every part of my experience was phenomenal! the customer service was superb and accommodated to our needs, including service the best GF-base pizza i've EVER had. period.

Great pizza and wine - exactly what you need and want from a place like this! Staff are friendly and will steer you to the right wine if you don't know what you're doing 😘

My friends and I had a picnic down by the lake and when we collected our pizzas, our pizzas were made so quickly and the customer service was outstanding ! a really cool vibe they have going on in Campbell and everyone enjoyed the pizza. One of my friends is also vegan and we all tried the vegan pizza and it honestly was the best one !!
