Good little camp ground.
Drive in is easy enough in probably any 4wd ever made.
Probably 2wd vehicles too. LET YOUR TYRES DOWN or end up with no teeth.
Mosquitoes and midges are annoying, spray and then spray again.
But who cares when the views are like this?
The stars at night are fantastic.
Amazing sunset and sunrise.

Stunning camp spot. We made it just in time for a beautiful sunset. Fire rings provided. Mostly sand and grassy areas but nothing too soft. Easy enough drive in. Road is closed in wet weather conditions. Some parts of the track get tight in the way in. Wouldn't think anyone towing or driving anything huge would make through.

Good Camp sites on the left as you enter in under the trees with a gravel boat ramp beside the campsites, there is fire rings at some of the sites and a composting long drop toilet block 1/2 way up the hill with stairs to access. You can drive past the treed camps and go further out to the point there is room for a couple of camps there also wit another gravel boat ramp but these camps are exposed to easterly - northerly and westerly winds but they do have the best outlook with easy access to the water. There is another campsite on top of the ridge by turning right as soon as you see the information hut you can drive up a rough track to access this site, with great views but no access to the water apart from a mountain goat track down the side of the ridge this site is very exposed with no shade and very little protection from the wind. We camped there and Kayaked for almost a week didn't catch any crabs or fish. We did drive over to Turkey Beach this is a easy 4wd track dry weather only.

After the 4WD into this isolated spot it was disappointing that there were no safe swimming areas for the children. The camping spots were adequate sized but quite rocky so not easily able to pitch or peg down a tent. Small dinghy or jetski only would be towed down this trail. Only place to get mud crabs as per signs. No tracks suitable for children of elderly. Treacherous shoreline only accessible by LARC! Trees and roots sticking up out of the sand everywhere. Steep rocky track available for the young and nimble... Which salt wasn't me. There was a toilet nearby... Bring something to wash and sanitise hands afterward though. Probably wouldn't go again.. Sadly.

Very long and washboard bumpy dirt road, sandy for the last bit too, was brutal in our SUV. Both times we tried to go to this campsite it was full, but we're glad it was because people were yelling and partying and playing music very loud. Very few sites, people were camping in areas that weren't sites either so it was crowded.

Looked like it could be a nice spot if no one was around; there's one camp at the very top of the hill, above the bathroom, that is epic. But it's the first taken always.

Up until recently this has always been a great camp site for solitude. It is now super popular and hard to find a camp without being on top of other campers. A beautiful place but not really my cup of tea anymore.
