Best grilled fish and chips I've ever had! The fish tacos were so good too and there are plenty of great options for vegetarians. The place is right next to the beach and has a lovely view. The service is good. Great value for money!

Great flavourful grilled fish, chips and kale order. Prices are reasonable and great beach spot. We’ll definitely be back.

Awesome place, even better location and delicious food. The portions for the fish & chips and the squid rings and chips were huge - could have been shared between two people. But winner out of our order were the fish tacos! So good!

Would definitely recommend to friends and family in the area, and would have been back if time allowed (we only discovered Canteen at the end of our trip to the area). Go for sundowners and have a bite to eat once the sun has dipped below the ocean. 10/10 spot.

An epic place with stunning views 😍 tasty food with a few nice vegan options! Expect it to be slightly pricy, but you pay for the view and a nice atmosphere.
Friendly and prompt service too. Often very busy.

Nice place to have coffee ☕ and lunch. We have croissants 🥐, ham and cheese 🧀 for breakfast 🍳.
Waited for lunch while doing some paperwork. Had seafood basket to share with my daughter.
Ambiance good and near beachfront 🏖 , not busy but there’s plenty people around the canteen.
Like the area for a change.

Only stopped by here for a quick cuppa before we headed back to Malaysia and no more sunsets by the beach :( Places that peddle coffee after 4pm is super hard to find around town, especially if it's got views like this. This is probably one of the most picturesque places in town to get your flat white, the bonus is that you can go for a swim after. So bring a book and your bathers.

a great place to stop in and get a quick bite to eat. The fish was fresh and pan fried very nicely. The tacos need some work though.

First time wont be last. Friendly and helpful staff. Even tho packed service was excellent. Coffee came in so minutes followed 6 minutes later with our meal 9/10

Great spot on the ocean. Super busy but fast service. The menu is varied and staff friendly. Alcohol can be purchased from island market next door.

Nice relaxed beachy Cafe. Teriyaki Chicken bowl was super tasty. We also had the Fish Tacos and some chips

The best cafe I’ve eaten at in Perth the food is so fresh and healthy, portion size is huge and pricing reasonable for the quality of food here at Canteen. Service is quick and friendly.

Place is always busy but food is serviced in takeaway containers so can always site on the beach and enjoy.

I couldn’t rate this place any higher, DREY assisted me by providing me a LOW FODMAP meal to cater for all my allergies, it was delicious and fresh.
Drey was amazing and listened to all my concerns and went out of her way to speak to the chef so I could eat safely. I would definitely come again the salmon, kale, tomatoes and cucumber, all fresh plentiful and delicious.

Best açai bowl I’ve ever had, and yummy coffee. Definitely a busy spot on summer days but worth the wait!!

Delicious fish and chips - light batter and nice and flaky. Have enjoyed the breakfasts and coffee too. Such a superb location!

I am visiting for a week and I found this place just a couple days before I am leaving, WOW!
I will be back everyday for this AÇAÍ bowl. I love Açaí bowls, this was DELICIOUS.
Unfortunately, I was heavily disappointed in another açaí option down the street from Canteen.

Fantastic wholesome food. Great variety of not 'run of the mill' cafe style foods. I had the felafal & roasted veg platter. This was the view from my table 😁

A++++++ Watched the sunset on this mild winter evening. Not windy at all. Deep orange glow on the horizon of the cloudless sky. The humm of electric scooters, happy conversation and laughter rang in the air as well as the constancy of the rolling waves. The food was delicious, huge portions. I recommend the kids portion of Fish and Chips... It's absolutely yummy and I can see it's very popular either for takeaway or dine in. Happily recommend the Calamari and chips, they know the seafood and each piece was melt in your mouth not one once of rubber.
Take your kids, take your partner, take your friends.... Just Take yourselves.... Do it. You won't regret it.
