Chalisa Indian Restaurant

I’ve never reviewed a restaurant ever.
But I have to and I’m still sitting here.
I’m a chicken tikka Marsala freak.
I travel across numerous states for work and always find an Indian restaurant once a week and I’m going to declare this as the best ever.
4 years and I have a clue.
Between the flavour and heat as I was advised my the competent waiter that medium would be enough.
This was brilliant.
Just another level.
Garlic naan great.
And a good wine selection.
The only reason atmosphere didn’t get 5 is because it’s Tuesday. Quiet

My husband and I have been going to and ordering home delivery from Chalisa for over 17 years. The food and service is always great - We would highly recommend for birthdays, date nights or just because. The best in Tuggeranong

On our way to Sydney, we had a stop in Canberra for a night with our parents. We somehow ended up eating at Chalisa and it was so damn yummy!! Fish pakora, chilli chicken, biryani was the yummiest out of all. No second thought, you can happily go have food.

Ordered Goat Curry, Beef Madras, Butter Chicken, Bulao Rice and Garlic Naan. All were exceptional. Will come back!

This restaurant does not disappoint ! For starters we had the jinga teel ( prawns ) and the chili garlic chicken WOW 👌 for main we had the best butter chicken ! and a dish recommended by reddy ( owner ) rocket fish 😋 if you like a dish with a kick ' give it go. The tap beer to wash it down was a bonus.

We have been regular customers of Chalisa for years, love the friendly welcome, delicious curry and great location to n the centre of Tuggeranong. Looking forward to dining with you again! Thank you

Our club (CVC) had our annual dinner at Chalisa Restaurant on 02 Dec 2023. We had awesome banquet food for our members. The staff and host were really hospitable and the venue was fantastic. In short, great food, great service witj great value for money. Thankyou Chalisa. We will be back.

Friendly demeanor from staff and approachable. I arrived close the closing time and was little quiet as you'd imagine. The food was absolitely delicious. The main curry - potato n chickpea was yummy, cooked to the spice level i had requested and was 'clean' without too much oil or ghee. There were a couple of minor things I wouldve liked a little differently, but they're more of a personal choice than a fault with the food. I was going to have some deserts but I was too damn full. Compliments to the chef. If I was being too picky, would've loved to see Dhal Makhani in the menu.

We are regularly ordering food from Chalisa, the service we recieve from the staff is absolutely wonderful, we always feel so welcomed. Highly recommend the butter chicken is the best I've ever had!

It was delicious for me. I love Indian and the restraunt was cosy warm and nice. Next time I would love to try chole bhature.

Very tasty food. Service was super friendly. Not heaps of atmosphere and the music wasn’t playing till half way through the evening. But defs be back!

Best curry night in a long time I have had in Canberra. The service was amazingly good.

For 2 people including 3 or 4 beers and 3 curries, 2 rice, naan bread and pickles as a side it was great value at $60pp (approximately)

So much pride is taken here. The food is incredible, the Saag is a must. Great selection of drinks and sides, but the service is the star here.

Great food. Good lunch specials. We enjoy the butter chicken.
