Wolta Wolta Homestead

The accommodation is the heritage cottage just behind the homestead; comfortable, heated and with a nice 2 person spa bath. One double bed is IN the same room as the spa bathroom, one queen bed had the spa bathroom as its ensuite. There is another separate bedroom across the hallway with use of another (spa-less) bathroom. Also a kitchen and dining room. Surrounded by the homestead's nice gardens. Lovely bonus was the host Robert (a very interesting gentleman) showing us through the historical homestead.

Fantastic piece of history, kept in lovely condition by Robert Parker. He will treat you like a loved guest and you'll be transported back in time to an old world full of adventures.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Cottage, out the back of the homestead. The place has charm, history and a great host. Recommended as a place to base yourself when in the Clare Valley.

The Irish party that was held here was embarrassing. It was so full of cliches. As an Irish person I can state that Irish people eat more than just spuds and soup and appreciate much better music than was played here. At $10.00 per person to walk around going ho hum is a bit steep.
