Knappstein Enterprise Winery

A must visit winery.
Fantastic Riesling, Chardonnay and Merlot from their selection of wines.
Super friendly staff, especially Ann who created an amazing experience for us and also went the extra mile to give us some information about the region.
As recommend by Ann the Shiraz and Riesling paste they sell go very well with cheeses and meats.

It was an absolute pleasure to visit and Maddy was phenomenal with her knowledge of wines and ability to explain all the different tasting notes.
All the wines are reasonably priced too - so much so we took 6. I'd definitely recommend this as a "need to go to" in the Clare region

Our visit to Cellar Door was simply amazing! The wines were outstanding, and the people there were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It made the whole experience really special. Highly recommended!

Our host was lovely, patient and so sweet compared to a few wineries we have been to. A wide selection of wines to choose from. We spent a good hour and didn't think we would be there that long. Even joined up to the wine membership it was that good. Definitely recommend you to stop over.

Good place for wine tasting with easy access when in the Clare area. They have some of the nicest Rieslings I've ever tasted. Their other wines were totally fine as well. The reds are medium-bodied which is the expected characteristic for Clare Valley wines.

We loved knappstein and can't wait to visit again.

We did the classic tasting and loved the Pinot gris and Clare valley Riesling. We also got to try the insider Gewürztraminer and the insider Riesling. We loved those so much we had a case of each delivered to our home in Sydney.

Maddy was a fantastic host, very personable with great wine knowledge , tailoring a wine tasting for us as she learned our tastes as we tasted each wine - a flexible approach and personalised service rather than ‘just pour the 5 wines and leave them to it’. All this even though it was approaching 4pm closing time.
Such a contrast to our previous tasting at another venue.

A great riesling tasting experience with Maddy and Tania. Very relaxed and informative. We learned a lot about riesling and the effects of different soil types, enhanced by the soil display. Great wines and a wonderful experience.

Wonderful wines! Linda was just so helpful with her wine knowledge and with our plans to travel to pt augusta and we are travelling up via Gladstone and Wilmington! Right on with bubbles knowledge!

Loved the hospitality we were shown at Knappstein enterprise, our host was very knowledgeable about the wines we sampled and the history of the cellar door and surrounding area. Couldn't leave without at least one bottle of their 2020 Inside Riesling which for me was the highlight of the Clare Valley Rieslings.

We were warmly welcomed on a very chilly Clare morning. Our host chatted about the heritage, and wines - which were delicious. Very highly recommended.
