Whilst a smaller sized cellar door, it did not disappoint with the tasting experience. George was a wealth of knowledge and his pairing recommendations were spot on.
We were fortunate to spend time with Sam and it was amazing to hear first hand from a direct family descendent and hear about the strong future of this family brand and their dedication to the industry.

Absolutely incredible experience. George took us through the Immersion tasting and bestowed upon us so much knowledge and marvelous wines, and they were very accommodating of our Kelpie. Highly recommended!

A shining example of a strong, family owned, Australian business that has genuine care for its customer base. The cellar door does everything they can to ensure an enjoyable experience. After visiting the Saturday markets in Clare, we headed off to Jim Barry Wines cellar door. Nice venue and wines, great wine tasting service.

An excellent selection of wines, all of which were top notch. Our cellar doorman George was amazing; his knowledge was extensive and talked us through the tastings like an expert. 10/10 service. If you’re in there Clare valley this is a must-try!

Had an immersion tasting with an Armagh to finish. Truly amazing and with George to guide us through the journey of our tastings. Best cellar door visit for us during our Clare stay.

Had THE most memorable experience at the cellar door on Thursday, 25th January - George was so amazing, so passionate, went above and beyond to share the incredible wines at Jim Barry!

Really nice cellar door, the cellar door manager on the day was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wines and the Clare valley region. Great range of wines to try, particular favourite is the Greek assyrtiko variety.

Absolutely amazing experience at this cellar door. Person who was working (sorry I forgot your name) was an absolute legend. Knew all the wines, and was able to talk in detail about seperate vineyards and vintages. As a fellow industry worker, this is how customer service should be done. Bought two cases, and I’ll probably get some more. Visited probably 40-50 cellar doors across McLaren Vale as well as Barossa/Eden/Clare Valley in the last week - definitely the best experience I have had. 100/100

Lovely place to visit with excellent wines. Had the pleasure of visiting the armagh vineyard which was absolutely stunning. My favourite wines were the Annabel Rosé and the Assyrtiko.

Phenomenal wines, amazing tasting room experience.
We attended Jim Barry’s tasting room as a booking on a Friday morning.
On arrival we were treated to a complimentary plate of cheese, quince jelly, gluten free crackers and olives. This served as a great palate reset throughout the tasting.
The tasting was a set selection of 7 wines, curated as a weighted tasting starting with lighter white varieties and ending with the heavier reds.
Our host, Annika, was incredibly knowledgeable & friendly - providing our group with fantastic anecdotes of the winery history and history of the region, provided in context of each wine tasted.

A highlight was a surprise entrance from emeritus wine maker Peter Barry himself, who proudly informed us of a recent wine-show win, their Watervale Riesling taking a gold medal in the Brisbane Wine Awards!

Needless to say, I highly recommend a visit to Jim Barry’s cellar door, a must for anyone visiting the Clare Valley.

(Please note that there is a tasting fee, however this is redeemable on purchase of $100 or more. With such delicious wines on offer it will be hard to walk out of here without spending this amount, be prepared! - take note South Aussie wineries, this is how you do wine flight tastings)

First and best winery of the day thanks to the expert guidance of George at the cellar door. Highly recommend this Clare valley experience.

The $10 wine tasting fee was very reasonable and was deducted from purchase of wine. Brilliant wines and a great guide. JB continues to make seriously good wines and they are well priced too. When in the Clare Valley, Jim Barry this is a must!

An incredible tasting experience with a mix of great wines and a snack board to go with it. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft and very generous with the tastings. They have great deals at the cellar door as well. Highly highly recommended.

Lovely cellar door and Annika was very helpful and made the experience fun, thanks! Can really sense the history behind the place and the stories behind each tasted wine were very interesting. Highly recommended, we did the 'Immersion' experience as advertised via their website.
