While the car park is closed during fire ban season, you can still park outside & walk to the cairn (a short walk). Just remember No Smoking or do anything else that is against fire safety. This Lookout is on private land & continuing to be open relies on the public to do the right thing (at all times of year). It is one of the big Australian views so a must do while in the Clare Valley.

One of my favourite places to go, weather its to walk the track to the actual lookout, explore around the area for rocks and old history with so many mine shafts still around or just sittting in the car and enjoying the view, especially when there is a storm rolling in. It has to be one of the most peacful and magical places in the Clare Valley

The night sky is absolute. You can witness whole galaxy of stars and shooting stars. Very peaceful place.

Vast open spaces as far as the eye can see. Too bad the lookout region is closed due to the fire warnings this season. Guessing it will be closed until Feb/Mar end.
