Chemist Discount Centre Laurimar

I have been a customer of this Pharmacy since It first opened. I am a regular customer, at least fortnightly If not weekly.
Gone are the days of more staff than Is needed for customer service etc. The last thing I would want to do In these times of social media, online reviews and the costs of running a business, Is to run a small business. Seriously, what business these days aren't busy? I go to the Post Office, busy. I go to the supermarket, busy. I go to the petrol station, yes busy.
Do people give any consideration to the cost of putting on extra staff? Wages, Payroll Tax, Super, Sick Pay, Insurance etc. People mention frequently the wait times they are experiencing, well let's just put on another 5 staff, easy fix right?
Have I had to wait at times for scripts, yes? Have I had to wait at times longer than I would want, yes? So I changed my habits. I take advantage of the Medadvisor service. I sometimes call ahead to check the progress etc.
I am more interested In a pharmacy with accurate dispensing than getting my scripts 10 minutes quicker. In coming to this pharmacy for over ten years I have had zero mistakes made with my medications and as I said at the start I'm a frequent flyer.
The customer service girls are always friendly and helpful and the Pharmacists are professional. I am not shy in communicating my expectations but I do so In the beginning In a friendly manner and If things are not working I can then change my demeanour. I think a lot of people these days, and I'm speaking I know In a very general sense start with loudness and outrage first.
I read several reviews, one by a nurse about missing medication of drugs of dependence. That reviewer mentioned the strict protocols when it came to dispensing these medications and I think it's important to expand a little on what that reviewer said. I am also prescribed heavily regulated drugs of dependence. I was taught by my Doctor and by a previous Pharmacy that you always check these medications In front of the Pharmacist before you leave with these drugs. I always check that the seals of these medications are intact. I would encourage anyone on these medications and I'm sure the Nurse would agree with me to get Into this habit regardless of which Pharmacy you use.
I know a lot of the girls by name now and they know me by name, did I mention I am a frequent flyer, lol?
The current manager Is Dhruti and she Is lovely. Always greets me by name and with a smile. She has always been helpful and professional In her dealings with me.
I am not dismissing any person's experiences that have left a review, negative or positive, I just wanted to remind everyone that people that have a negative experience are much more likely to leave a negative review than people that have a positive experience are to leave a positive review and my experiences using this Pharmacy over the long term have been positive.
I am not related In any way to the Pharmacy or the staff nor do I have any financial interest. I hope this helps someone.

Iam really happy with this pharmacy.. people are friendly and specialy teresa she is very gentle and she do very good her job...my family are are happy too with her..

I have several unusual medications and this chemist have gone out of their way to make sure I get them when needed. The business is very busy but have always given me an estimated time for fulfillment and then had the stuff ready on time. I never go anywhere else as the service is not available any other place close to me.

This is by far the best chemist i’ve ever visited, appreciated the girls in behind the counter that assist me with my scripts today, and girls at the front counter are always friendly and constantly helpful.

A big thank you to the incredibly helpful and friendly staff at Laurimar Discount chemist . In particular special acknowledgement and thanks goes to the pharmacist , Dhruti and her assistant Theresa . This is a very busy pharmacy but these 2 staff always take the time to greet me by name and go out of their way to have my order ready and offer me advise , it’s great that they also price match if a competitor has a lower price item . In addition the store has a great range of items , is clean and organised and the girls at the check out are always cheerful and helpful . Thanks again team .

This is not a complaint!
I have had zero unpleasant experiences with this pharmacy, the service has always been quite good.
However, after picking up my prescription medications yesterday, I found that intstead of 50 Panadeine Forte tablets, I was given only 40. 10 tablets were missing.
I didn't notice this until the day after picking them up, so it's hard to prove that the pharmacy had made a mistake.
The pharmacist said I should check the quantities before I leave the store.
I will be doing this in the future, although I have never encountered this problem before?
I am a nurse, so I am very familiar with the strict protocols that have to be met when drugs of addiction are dispensed.
It is not uncommon for a staff member to steal such drugs using whatever method they can. A dishonest and illegal practice to say the least.
So, if you're reading this, I suggest that count your presciription tablets before leaving the pharmacy.

My experience at this Centre was AMAZING! I have a severe phobia of needles (worse than a child) and was Very worried about being vaccinated for COVID-19.
I cannot praise the Pharmacist In-Charge enough and the staff. Throughout the appointment, she was understanding, explained the process without hurry and made me feel so at ease; jab done without feeling it, so much so that I went for seconds - no sweat, no pain!!
I highly recommend this Pharmacy for their efficiency and service.

This pharmacy is brilliant. Give them credit for the size of this community they do their best. Don't complain about waiting time their only human.

I have been going to this chemist for the last few years. I will admit that at times it was terrible however since Dhruti Leekha has taken over with with supplying my weekly medications it has been FANTASTIC! Her attention to detail is what our community needs. If you have had a bad experience previously I suggest you give this chemist another go! Thank you Dhruti for all that you do.

Excellent service, staff know us by name, always very helpful and respectful, they go out of their way to make sure our prescriptions and medications are up to date.

I visited the chemist to have my 2nd AstraZeneca Vaccine.I am really petrified when it comes to needles .I was approached by Aliesha Gounder the pharmacist, she was
friendly and helpful, I felt at ease. I was introduced to Sirelle Fisher the pharmacy assistant, Sirelle is aware of my fear of needles, she is such a kind and caring person.I was filling in the vaccination form, while we spoke about home schooling and our children.I found myself in the vaccination room with Dhruti Leekha the Pharmacist , a gentle caring person,counting backwards from 20 and then it was all over.I am so greatfull for the genuine customer service I received from Dhruti,Aliesha and Sirelle and
would like to express my heartfelt thanks for
making me feel at ease .We need to remember as customers to be the I in KIND, and treat staff with respect .Take care and stay safe❤

It's very difficult for me to find a good chemist. I take opiate pain medication chronically so it can cause an issue. I went to Chemist Discount Centre after spending over an hour at Chemist Warehouse only to be stuffed around. The service I got here was far better and I was made comfortable by the pharmacist and out in 5 mins. I just moved to the area and this chemist will be my new preferred location.

Had such a great experience with both Jabs. So quick and efficient. I also don't like needles at all but I didn't feel a thing at all. Staff are excellent.

Great staff they always look after me and make sure I get everything I need 😊my blister packs are always ready and I never have to wait for my scrips.

My 12 year old daughter had both her covid vaccines here. They nurse was lovely, highly recommended coming here for your vax, easy to book and quick service.

A chemist that is conveniently located and has consistently cheap prices backed up by fast service. Longer opening hours would be appreciated. Well done guys.

Such a surprise to have a focus on health and keeping well in Doreen ... Mo & the dispensary staff are amazing and the wealth of knowledge they all have is exactly what the area needed.

You guys have been helpful when I needed it and still strive to serve and do things quickly although you are always busy. Managers are great and friendly. Will come back again.
