Wicklow Avenue Medical Centre

I’ve been meaning to leave this review for 3-4 years now, but finally getting around to it. Dr Melanie Littler is by far the best Doctor I’ve ever seen. I’d been “shopping around” for some time and was recommended by a friend to try Dr Littler and I am SO grateful for this gift. She has supported myself and my family (great with pregnancy/babies/women’s health) through all the highs and lows. I’ve since moved house 45 minutes away but still make the drive to see her because she is so worth it. Wicklow Avenue reception team have also been very helpful in all that they do. Thanks, and great job to all.

I have been going there since 10 years, they have great service. The doctors are friendly and nice especially Dr Pardeep Chabra. I highly recommend.

The Wicklow team fit my grandma in at short notice with a different Doc to usual. Dr Littler was fantastic. So kind to my grandma who has had a stressful time recently. Made sure that Gram had time to talk and express her concerns. She called the specialist the same afternoon after we left and got back to us straight away with a plan.
Very impressive, I would definitely recommend Wicklow Medical Centre, especially Dr Littler and Dr Bullas.

Always find staff welcoming and friendly. Dr Littleton is my go to doctor and is fabulous.Appointment with Dr Sheedy was efficient and quick. Maybe the nay sayers should look too their own attitudes.

Best medical centre I have ever been to! I have struggled to find a good GP since moving to Vic 10 years ago. After a few very disappointing experiences (and a bad misdiagnosis of my son's condition) at some other local medical centres i tried this place and have been so impressed i felt compelled to write a review.

- AMAZING GPs AND NURSES!!! I can't overstate how friendly, personable, knowledgeable, thorough and professional the team have been in my experience.

- Nice atmosphere in the waiting areas with bright natural light, aquarium, log fire and good magazine selection!

- Reception staff helpful and friendly.

- Only down side is that there is often a bit of a wait to get an appointment as they are clearly in high demand (i can see why) so don't expect a same-day consultation.

This is THE BEST medical clinic in the Eastern area ( or possibly Melbourne). The quality of care, attention to detail and professionalism coupled with the kind,thorough approach from both doctors and office staff is second to none. I can't speak highly enough of this clinic. Having experienced a great many practices in the eastern area, this one wins hands down. It does cost ( medicare rebate covers half) however, its well worth the visit. I'd give 10 stars but as it stands can only give it 5. Thank you , thank you, thank you.

Always greeted with a smile and friendly reception staff. The doctors are lovely and very knowledgeable and the nurses are very caring.

Dr Chhabra is awesome!! Very happy with my care at Wicklow, especially during this Covid Pandemic - they've made myself and my family feel safe and cared for. Appreciate all your hard work and thanks for working extra doing all the covid vaccines.

Great medical centre, wide range of doctors to choose from. There is also a pathology room in the same building for blood tests.

My partner and I have both recently started coming here after moving to Croydon and have found the doctors as well as the staff to be both very professional and courteous.

I have just gotten off the phone to a reception lady who works here and I am disgusted in how rude she was to me. And this isn't the first time I have found reception to be rude and blunt over the phone. I was trying to book in with my childhood family doctor for an important consult and I was met with a rude lady who made me feel stupid for even wanting to book in with him as it had been a "while" since id seen him. It should not matter the reason why I am calling to book in with a doctor... if I want to book an appointment I should be able to. Not bombarded with insults on the phone. I will NEVER call back again and will OT recommend. I would giveNO stars if I could.

What a very unhelpful clinic. They had a spare spot for a 4th COVID vaccine, however when I rang they said it was for existing patients only. I questioned that if no existing patient had booked, why wouldn’t they be willing to offer the space - especially as COVID vaccines are a Government initiative, and I work in Public Health.

I was rudely told sorry that’s our policy by both the receptionist and the practice manager. Instead I booked an appointment at Ringwood East Medical Clinic and was greeted warmly by all who served me.

Don’t waste your time with this clinic. Look next door to Healthmint or Ringwood East Medical Clinic who both know how to run an amazing GP service.

Have been coming to this practice for about 10years, it’s getting progressively worse and even more money hungry. There are long waits (most days allow at least an hour of waiting), days long booking times (hope you are not actually sick), exorbitant fees (have been charged for a dr to call me back with info he didn’t have at the appointment (another $88)and charged for a mask for my child) and what feels like a very base level of compassion. Looks like I’m not the only one having bad experiences there and I will also be looking for a new practice.

Dr Soon and Dr Chhabra are absolutely amazing. I wasn’t able to get an appointment with either of them and needed one desperately so I settled for a new doctor, Dr Sheedy. She was so rude, dismissive and made me feel belittled. I didn’t have a chance to explain any ongoing mental health issues before I was denied any care. I finished the appointment in tears and a near panic attack. If you’re going to make an appointment, wait for a doctor you know and avoid Dr Jane Sheedy if possible.

Recently my daughter wanted to make an appointment for a COVID vaccination. She was refused in a very unfriendly manner, because she has not been to this surgery for a few years, they could not help her. Very ubrupt and unfriendly staff. In these Hard times to refuse a government initiative is really something.
