Avalon House Guest House, Self Contained Courtyard Apartments

We had a wonderful stay at Avalon house - lovely 'çabin vibe' rooms in an excellent location , close to hikes and incredible swimming spots. The host was very accommodating. We will definitely be back.

As a family of 4 plus a furry friend we stayed at The Bon Accord room in Avalon House. The room was warm and lights were on at our arrival. The suite was spacious (two bedrooms + living area and kitchen). Even tough we stayed during the winter, the suite was very warm from the wood fireplace and heater. The location was amazing thanks to the picturesque views and convenience of having a bakery and coffee van just across the road. There is a stream nearby that you can sometimes hear at night. Courtyard was fully fenced, good for letting the dog/children out. The host, Kevin, was very friendly and welcoming.

Clean, comfortable quiet. Kevin is a great host. Right in the middle of the "top" and "bottom" pubs and the perfect base for bike riding and hiking.

We stayed in in the Cattleman bungalow.
As a family of 4 we were all very comfortable.
We had enough facilities to make breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Kevin is a lovely guy very polite and makes you feel very welcome!
I would highly recommend this accommodation, we will definitely be looking to book again when we revisit Hotham.

Avalon House, in particular the Razorback, is my favourite place to stay! Warm, spacious, and comfortable with plenty of character.

We had a great stay at Avalon house and Kevin was such a great host, made sure we had a good time and put up with our antics. Well furnished, spacious and can be super private or social depending on what you’d like. It had a well equipped kitchen and we had access to bikes, a great outdoor firepit and more. Kevin was super helpful before and during our stay. The room was clean and tidy, had everything we needed to be self contained. Lovely, well fenced courtyard and grassed area was fantastic for the dogs. Really appreciated everything!

Had a lovely stay in the Mine Managers cottage. Had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Walkable to everything in the village and some lovely swimming holes.

Would be nice if the fly screen was repaired so mozzies don’t get in and the door can be left open but that’s about it.

Stayed 4 nights there. Very nice and quite place. Kevin and Natalie are very helpful. Located at the centre of the town. Individual courtyard, perfect for family with dogs.

The pizzas are fantastic, best pizzas in the high country by far made with fresh herbs from the back garden. Wish we had known about this place sooner. Make sure you ring to make sure they are open. We'll definitely be back

Wow what a find! Super cozy, well maintained and the perfect location close to Hotham. Communication excellent, felt right at home oh and they had Chromecast on their TVs in our bungalo!

Kevin is great! This is a cozy place especially when you are traveling with your dogs! Highly recommend !
