Harrietville Hotel Motel

Eliza and Ed are brilliant at customer service.
Both were friendly and helpful.
The food was delicious and very fresh. The four of us all had something different to eat and all were very happy with our choices.
The beer was cold as was the wines.
Lincoln the dog was just an added bonus 😀
Top spot for a lunch in a very peaceful setting, with lots of history.
We had a walk to the gorge which was beautiful.
Unable to swim due to alge in the waters but just lovely all the same.
Definitely go to Harrietville and most certainly stop at the Hotel for a great meal, drinks, and service.

An impromptu stop on a barmy Friday night to the Harrietville Hotel Motel proved to be and absolute ripper of a choice. The Beef Short rib with peanut sauce, sliced pickle, roti, rice and a squeeze of lemon has topped my list of best EVER!!! Omg. I had an explosion of the most delicious mouth watering flavours that was to die for. Had to insist that the chef got the message. DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE. To top off the fantastic evening on the beer garden an amazing young guitarist named Angus played his own version of classic that had everyone entranced. Simple pleasure are always the best. Went there for lunch and the staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. Loved the pub dog Lincoln, wanted to take him home with me. Close to Joops Jetty. Highly recommend

Lovely little rustic pub, surrounded by lush trees, mountain backdrop!!

Do yourself a favour, spend the day swimming at the dreadgehole, and enjoy a delicious meal at this hotel.

Orders taken inside and food was brought out fairly quickly considering it was hugely busy.
Cheeseburger with chips was very tasty! The Pattie was juicy and seasoned perfectly. Loved the onion rings and pickle. Best burger I’ve had for some time.
Chicken snitzel was tender and juicy with the right amount of crisp. Good chips.
Serving size on the side of small but ample for us.
Highly recommend.

Fantastic eating at this place. 8 of us for lunch and the variety of plates was amazing. The service was first class. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was engrossing. Could not recommend it more highly we will be back.

Ate lunch in the garden. Great shade trees provided a canopy in the Harrietville valley. Harrietville draught Beer was freezing cold. I had the falafel salad bowl, my wife had the Japanese sobor noodle salad. The food was delicious 10/10. Atmosphere was great, music played quietly and food was served quickly.

Excellent stay. Booked for week’s accommodation for a ski trip and absolutely smashed any and all expectations. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, comfortable rooms and welcoming atmosphere. Went above and beyond and is rare to find such amazing service. Will definitely be visiting again.

The Saturday Special Dinner Meal itself. Wow! The menu was carefully crafted with an array of delicious options, making it hard to choose just one. Each course was a masterpiece in itself, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavors. The chef's attention to detail and use of fresh, high-quality ingredients were evident in every bite.

I just came here for lunch but the guy with brown hair was one of the nicest server I have ever met was really nice and made sure to tick all the stops 10/10

Stopped by on a road trip for lunch. Friendly, laid back staff. Had lovely dumplings (which required me to set aside what I thought I knew white dumplings) and meat lovers pizza and amply-sized dessert. Certainly would stop by again.

Hadn't been to this pub before.....and that is a major regret!! Shoulda done it years ago. Stepping inside makes you wish you lived in Harrietville. So warm, friendly and genuine alpine fun vibes. Burger and beers were top notch, but the BEST thing was that I could bring my pooch!! How cool to dine out with my four-legged mate, with other well-mannered dogs also chillin' with their owners. Guaranteed many return visits whenever I'm in Bright. Kudos to the staff who were amazing in their jobs. Cannot wait to return. Cheers

4 years later! Of course, we have been every year since I've left a comment last time, the place has been upgraded. The pool has been fenced and sunbeds are organized, the terrace got a fire place, excellent! Party for the new year 2024, great program! Food selection improved and expanded, from standard pub steak to dumplings..nice touch! very friendly and helpful staff (Ed..Paddy you guys rock) Eliza thank you very much, you are such a professional! Newly renovated rooms, spacious bed, big tv on the wall..downlights..everything smells like new, great experience! Tesla charger on site. Check out the photos, ..loving it!

Rode from Bright and enjoyed a pub lunch before the return ride. Fish and chips delicious, and the steak sanga special was spectacular. Lovely service, and awesome beer garden surrounded by trees and an open fireplace. Pub puppy rather cute as well.

Very cozy accommodation and excellent pub. We stayed here the night before hiking Mount Feathertop. It was easy to book and add an additional last min guest, affordable and offered us everything we needed the night before a big walk: delicious meal, hot shower, cup of tea and good nights sleep. Thanks for having us!

We just stopped in for a drink. Greeted by friendly staff. Absolutely bent over backwards to make sure we got the beer we'd like. Child friendly. Cosy and warm. Perfect little pub!

Awesome little pub with a free pool table. Great service. Didn't eat there so can't comment on food, but overall great atmosphere.
