A lovely relaxed lunch with amazing food, great wine, brilliant service, and a table under the huge olive tree with gorgeous views and surrounded by cute, herbaceous gardens.

Lunch under the olive tree was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful scenery and atmosphere, sensational food, wine and coffee and friendly efficient service. Couldn't ask for a more enjoyable afternoon. One of Clare's finest. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed lunch on the verandah. My chicken liver parfait with pickled cherries and excellent toast was great. I had the fish of the day, which was beautiful garfish with charred leek and buttermilk tartare that gave a wonderful smoky flavour. My companions remarked on the freshness and presentation of the herbs and the salad.

Even my cappucino was excellent.

The view on to the garden on this warm sunny calm day in early autumn was relaxing and the service was helpful and fast.

It doesn't get much better than this for a weekend lunch while tasting the local wines.

Beautiful setting. Simple charcuterie shared plate for lunch and a glass of shiraz made for a perfect day.

The wine is AMAZING!! Have been to five vineyards in Clare now and none have come close. The Basket Press Shiraz is such good value! Mmmm, yummo! We left with four bottles but also took the order form. The resident doggo was super adorable too!! (The drawcard for us visiting in the first place after seeing reviews). Was nice we could enjoy a tasting outside with the doggos by the heater too. Service was good but not super 'warm'. Review is more for the wine :)

Great wines and amazing food. The restaurant has a fantastic view of the surrounding vineyard and is set amongst a tiered garden under a magnificent olive tree. The long lunch is a great option and accompanies the tasting well. Tasting is free if you eat lunch at the restaurant too

We stopped here for lunch on our bike ride along the Riesling Trail and we were glad we did as both the food and view were fantastic! Service also excellent and of course the wines are great too!

Beautiful winery, charming setup, kind and very helpful staff. We purchased desert whines, some whites and bubbles. Very pleasant experience. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Had morning tea here while passing through Clare. Delicious! Excellent scones, excellent coffee, excellent service in a beautifully tranquil setting. Was well worth the slight detour off the main road.

David served us at Skillogalee for our second wine tasting experience of the day. David came with great knowledge and experience of the wines, gave great insight into harvesting, tones of the wines and flavors. Certainly knew what he was doing. Great place and great tasting wines!!!

We didn’t do a tasting here: instead we had a fabulous lunch in their restaurant and tried 4 wines between the two of us. We especially loved “Take Two” (cab sauv / shiraz blend), which has such a deep richness and flavour.

Yesterday I spent some time at the Winery with friends. We were served immediately by Sophie and Carolyn with good coffees, then proceeded to wine tasting.. All of us appreciated the professional knowledge by Sophie, the information about the winemaking and history of Skillogalee. Sophie was courteous, matter of fact and able to give very precise information to our many questions about the different wines. We appreciated her peoples' skills and friendliness. Thank you Skillogalee, we shall be back!

We visited this winery primarily because they opened earlier (9:30) but it turned out to be an amazing experience. They sit you outside the cute cottage next to two vines. Very generous with both the range and volume of pour.

Friendly and extremely inviting. The restaurant and cellar door environment oozes confidence in their wines with a no hassle and no tasting fees approach.

In our opinion some of the best wines we've tasted in the region.

It is a must see. We left with a few wonderful selections and will definitely drop in next time.

Visited 5th Nov 2019 with Sydney friends, who's ancestors years and years ago built the house where the Restaurant now stands.
Visit to the Skillogalee Winery, SevenHill South Australia..... a really nice place to visit. we had for a late lunch. the food is so nice, and the sparkling wine...wow. staff are so nice... well done Skillogalee.
