This church is just beautiful.
Full of history, and the only walk in crypt in South Australia,
Love the stained windows.
Need to come for a visit.

What a beautiful church, seemingly in the middle of nowhere! Built by Austrian Jesuits in the late 1800s to support their community and the winery, one of the oldest in SA. We were fortunate to chat with the very friendly and urbane parish priest, Fr Kieran, who told us about the history of the community at Sevenhill. Well worth a visit, especially to the crypt, and please donate to support the maintenance of the church!

This church is considered to be one of the oldest and most historical in this region. It's not only beautiful but also has a tranquil ambiance that makes it perfect for reflection and prayer. In addition, the church boasts a crypt, which I believe to have been used to bury the fathers of the church.

Our previous visits 1996-2008 were weekdays so we weren't able to attend 6pm Sat evening Mass.

The Sevenhill Winery, Museum & Church with its crypt, ancient vestments, grotto & gardens provide a quiet & relaxing time.

The range of Sevenhill wines has been expanded since our last visit & continue to evolve to maintain the highest standards.

The Priests & Parishioners of St Aloysius were extremely welcoming (as you would expect).

You don't HAVE to be Catholic to enjoy this visit because it's both a humbling & rewarding experience.

Stunning building. Visit the Marian shrine, the wine cellars and the crypt. Peaceful and tranquil. A lovely place to visit.
