Really nice place and the team at alpine valley getaways are extremely helpful. Nice easy drive up too Mt Hotham. Had a great dinner at one the local pubs. House is nice and airy, and pet friendly too! (Outside only though) Super comfy beds. Highly recommended.
Ideal for driving up the night before after work and staying overnight so you can be fresh for any activity you have planned the next day.

So we came across this place at the end of the snow season hoping to get a last hoorah being that we've been locked down....forever!!
Stop looking and get this place, the pictures are exactly what the place looks like, the serenity and wild life are awesome, the access to Mt Hotham is at your door step...literally you start driving up when you turn left at the end of the street.
I stayed with my 2 adult children, we all had a bedroom each (at an extra cost of $30 per day) the whole thing for our 2 night stay cost us $220 each. Such a bargain and considering down the road was a Hotel Motel for $165 per night for 1 room, 5 beds....I don't think so!!
The fire place, the warm Lounge room on entry, the ease of entry via keysafe, the entire place to ourselves, the nice comfy beds with electric blankets if you need all made this place the gem it is. Can't believe there are some negative reviews here, honestly don't believe them, I'm a major fuss pot and really precious when it comes to comfort and just could not fault this place I'd vote 6 stars if it were available. Thanks so much for the stay. I will absolutely be back next year.

Absolutely fantastic accomodation and excellent service by the team at Alpine Getaways. Hygge had absolutely everything we needed for our family getaway and the location was simply perfect. Thank you!

Lovely light filled house and location. Comfortable beds.

The plumbing is a bit loud. But it's a beautiful place, walking distance from the pub and super comfy beds. The view is amazing.

Tranquility

A very unpleasant experience with Alpine Valley Getaways.

My friends and me had a short stay in this house few days ago with our dogs as they post it as a "dog friendly" house.
Our dogs are very quite during our stay. And we got up 2 hours earlier than usual to clean the kitchen and vacuum the floor. I can make sure the floor and carpet are clean and free from any dog hairs.
We make sure we clean everywhere even we already paid for the cleaning fee. We have the photos after we cleaned.
However, the agency said " EVERYTHING WAS COVERED BY DOG HAIR AND VERY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE".
If they don't like any dog in their house, don't put it as "dog friendly".
I'm not even sure they went to the house on their own?
I don't expect them to say thank you to my cleaning. But they owe me an apology!!!!

In addition, I asked they to send me the photos to approve what they said here. But they just ignore me.
However, I'm so lucky as I still keep the photos after our cleaned as I sent it to my friends.
There's not a single piece of garbage in the house . All the supplies are sorted and put away for you. All the floors have been vacuumed. But what they said is "it was the worst we have seen in 10 years and almost 100 properties (most pet friendly). "

This is not only a cheat but also a racist. I don't allow anyone to be treated like this.
