Oakbank Racing Club

Competed at the Australian Masters Games in clout archery. Good experience. Unfortunately some one doesn't know there flag protocols as the Australian flag was on the shortest flag pole not the highest.

This picturesque race course is located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. They don't hold a lot of meetings each year, so you need to time your visit, but it is well worth it. There are food options, bars and on-course book makera and TAB facilities if you like a flutter, or if you prefer to just watch, the old grandstand has fantastic views of the finish line.
The public can wander through the horse stables, but remember to stick to the sign posted walkways for your aafety and the safety of the equine and human athletes.
There is normally plenty of parking available either on the course or in surrounding streets.
The track is very family friendly and we have always found activities for the kids to keep them occupied in between races.

I used to love taking coachloads to the Oakbank races but because of stupidity and a week government it's another thing consigned to the grave yard of passed experience, and it's a damn shame

Perfect day. Excellent course. Great food choices. Plenty of entertainment if needed. Staff very lovely in all areas. Highly recommend if you have not done Oakbank before. Maybe this Monday 18th of April 🍾🐴

Even though the grandstands are condemned and you can't see all the track, Oakbank is still a fabulous day at the races. In the true meaning of a country track. You can visit the horses in their stalls. Great areas for the family even on the hottest of days.

Had my son's 50th birthday celebration at Oakbank racecourse on Sunday 28th March for the easter carnival opener...the Family Race Day...the weather was perfect and a good time was had by all including the children....thanks to the new management in particular Shane Collins it was much appreciated.. This place is my place is my life my family has came here for the races every year for Easter to camp for 5 generations this place holds so many memories in my heart that I will hold onto forever currently sitting in a camping chair at oakbank the place has gone a little down hill with no sideshows this year and selling 10000 tickets only had 2 food stands donuts where nearly ran out and the chips ran out straight away not oakbank fault tho my family will come here forever this by far is my longest review I absoloutly love this place and how exciting it ia

Great day out for midweek. We travelled 4hrs to be at this race meeting. We were not disappointed

Great place to watch the races and have your own party. Drive the car to your spot and bring chairs tent, food and drinks and enjoy.

Didn't make it to the racecourse.... but the Woodside hotel is a great place to watch the races... and have a great meal... cheap drinks
