We felt really well taken care off and we tried some very exciting wines. Murdoch Hill came as a recommendation from another producer and they definitely did not dissapoint. One of the most interesting cellar doors around Adelaide, for sure.

Murdoch Hill is another prime example of a local producer with a key focus on sustainability, a reflection of a family who's love of the land spans over 80yrs.
Their wines offer a diversity of grape varieties which cellar hand Jess explained are sourced regionally to best illustrate what the Adelaide Hills and surrounding areas have to offer.
Our wine flight showcased fine examples of young, vibrant, fresh and juicy offerings that with minimal intervention are designed to drink 'today'.
The beautiful cellar door sits seamlessly amongst ancient gums whilst it's canine mascot Rudy stole my wifes heart everytime he rose to greet another arriving guest.
Support Local by making a quick detour the next time your up this way and visit Murdoch Hill, it's definitely worth it.

11/10, could not recommend MORE! Best winery in the Adelaide hills- Absolutely LOVED our experience at Murdoch Hill on Friday, beautiful view and even better wine. The owner was fantastic, so welcoming and went out of his way to look after us with cheese, and all the wine know how! We will definitely be back. Thanks again, Millie and Mark 😊

Wow, great service and amazing wines. Have been raving about this place since we visited. Well worth the visit. Beautiful deck overlooking hills. I left my bottle of wine there and Andrew was amazing and dropped it off to me later that day.

Andrew and his team provided a great experience today. The venue was fantastic to sit in, enjoying the wines and the grounds. The wines speak for themselves, and I left with a stash to enjoy. After a short chat, Andrew offered a unique walk through the winery and barrel room that topped off an amazing stop.

We came here for the second time and love the location and wines. It’s small, cosy and serene. The wines are fantastic and if it’s not a busy day there is a lot to learn too. Would love a little bit more variety on the cheese platter, but nevertheless, we will definitely return. We look forward to meeting the new “pawmelier” Basil on our next visit

Stop in, this winery is fantastic. Local producers who really know their stuff. Ask for Emily, she’ll have a sip with you!

In my experience as the owner of one of Australia's premier wine tour businesses, Murdoch Hill is easily one of the best new wineries in South Australia. Run by a warm and friendly generational farming family, they make some of the Hills best wines. I think their Pinots are amazing old-world expressions of new world grapes. Meanwhile, their Chardonnay and Meunier are quickly becoming cult status wines. Their cool-climate Syrah even just won Best Shiraz in Australia!
While the wines are always fantastic, it's the hospitality that sets Murdoch Hill apart. It's run by two of the nicest guys in the business - brothers Andrew and Michael. As a family owned and run business, their hospitality, warmth, and generousity is so honest and welcoming, they quickly make their guests feel at home.
If you love quality fine wine, and enjoy supporting smaller family owned business look no further than Murdoch Hill. You will not be disappointed!

One of everything please! Skip the big names and come straight here! Perfect example of cooler climate wines, we’ll be buying their wines for years to come. Amazing service, so glad we visited these guys. Make sure it’s on your list!

Great modern light filled cellar door with view of the grounds with large gums. Andrew was knowledgeable and friendly presenting the wine flight. Great selection of whites and reds from the Piccadilly Valley and on the estate behind the cellar door.
