Double Happiness is a trendy, hole-in-the-walk bar located down Liverpool Lane in Melbournes CBD. Its interior decor inspired by Chinese Communist propaganda. They have been trading for 19 years and have sister bar right next door @newgoldmountain.

All of the cocktails have an Asian influence, they even have a bubble tea cocktail range. In 2002, they unveiled their iconic Espresso Maryini, which has since become one of their top-selling cocktails. It wasn’t as sweet as we expected, very well balanced. ☕

Another popular choice is the Mr. Foo, a spicy concoction crafted from chilli vodka, coriander, fresh limes and dry ginger, essentially it reminded me of a Mojito. The Mango Lassi Punch had beautiful flavours of coconut and cardamom. 🍍

When we visited it was pretty quiet, but the Hip Hop music they had playing was a vibe. Perfect spot for a catch up. The staff are friendly and know how to whip up a great cocktail.

One of the best cocktail bar in Melbourne. The service has been always lovely and attentive. The drink selection is very interesting too, totally recommend the Thai Tea cocktail with the pearls 😉

Bar tenders are very experienced and more pan Asian inspired menu for drinks. No food, so if you are a snacky kind of person while drinking like me, be warned :). Certainly worth the try

Incredible vibe, bartender Brooke was wonderfully welcoming and offered a taste of a new cocktail she's working on, delicious drinks with fun flavour combos and various spirits.

Chilll vibes. Really quirky chinese decor and artwork. Great for a quiet night out and a small group for some chill drinks. The whisky cocktail I got was really good. Forgot what it was called but it had cumin in it.

In love with this place! Their bubble tea cocktails are so yum, the vibe is super chill and the bartenders are friendly and attentive.

Great decor and even better drinks. The bubble teas are delicious, not tapioca but jelly, but still outstanding. We tried 3 of them and none of them tasted alcoholic so its dangerous but such a great bar! Super friendly staff too, recommend taking your comrades

Super cosy and kitsch bar with Chinese propaganda influenced decor and a Chinese influenced cocktail list! Staff were friendly and the cocktails were delicious. Loved the big fireplace too!

A hidden laneway gem. A great spot for chill drinks. I had the 'Treat yourself' cocktail and it was so smooth and rich. Miles and Noah were also super friendly and made me feel really welcome and comfortable.

Bartender was a delight, polite and professional, makes beautiful drinks. Went with 2 friends, very lowkey joint. Interior is quirky, lighting is dim, could easily drink away the hours with friends. Loved the bubble tea! Recommend highly.
