Lovely cozy place for lunch or dinner. The food had amazing flavours, loved everything we ordered.

The best dish of the night was the flame grilled calamari. Wow, it was so tender and melting in the mouth, the special sauce was a sweet one and it goes so well with the calamari. The white anchovies on Turkish bread had good flavours, if only there were more white anchovies and it would have been amazing. The organic veal meatballs were quite decent in size, came with nacho chips on top and bread on the side. The prawn taco was delicious but on the expensive side.

Overall great service, they even offered to pack our leftovers in a takeaway box. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

We were there for lunch, I had the calamari and it was literally the best I've ever had. The flavours were amazing. Mum had the vegetable tacos, and my daughter had the chicken souvlaki plate. They both loved the flavours. We'll be back. Thanks so much for a great lunch.

Lovely place for a relaxing drink and bite. The food was great, especially the warm veggie salad. I also recommend the pink grapefruit sour mocktail. Veggies on the lamb skewers could have been cooked a bit more. The staff were very warm and friendly.

The food is fantastic. I can't speak highly enough of it. 4 of us went and we ordered a selection of small plates to share. What gastronomic delight! And so beautifully presented. The service was friendly and knew their stuff.

Excellent place for dinner (or small events); food is first-class and the setting in the centre of Eltham Town square is quite nice and convenient. The restaurant itself has seating for ~40 or so inside with more seating outdoors. Service is friendly and the drinks/wine list nicely balances the food items.

I've been many times now, and have always been genuinely delighted by the food. Pictured here is the open Falafel souvlaki, the pumpkin on Turkish bread, and the calamari small plate. All absolutely delicious. They main components are excellent, and they really know how to make great side salad!

I have been to Small plates few times and their food and service is outstanding. Service is very friendly and I highly recommend them. Small plate is a very good example of how a local business should be and I am happy to dine there more often.

Visited this little restaurant with a group of friends being my first time there for dinner. I had been there a few months before to buy a takeaway coffee.
Service was just right. We weren't rushed to order but probably ordered about 10-15 min after we arrived. Our meal arrived about 15 min later & all meals were cooked to perfection. I had the warm vegetable salad, my friends had various prawn dishes & everyone was happy.
It was a warm night so the room where we were seated had the bifold doors opened on all sides giving the feeling that we were eating outside which lent a wonderful ambience to the evening.
I did like that they allowed split bills so were able to pay individually at the register which is rare these days so was much appreciated. The staff were polite & friendly. I'm hoping to go back there again soon with other friends. I would definitely recommend Small Plates.

Such an awesome setting in the town square area of Eltham. Small venue, would be perfect for a function. Food was amazing would definitely recommend the Calamari!

This is the cutest cafe, quite unique being behind the Main Road shops in Eltham in its own freestanding building with gorgeous decor and pitched roof, maybe seats around 30 people(?) plus outside seating. The food was beautifully presented and plentiful, very trendy in look and tasted amazing! I forgot to take photos of the food because we were so excited to eat it!

Alex, who served us delicious food, has a delightful, humorous manner which added a surprising dimension to our experience of our meal. Please be there every time we eat at Small Plates, Alex.

Last minute drop in
We had open lamb kebab and a roast pumpkin salad. Great flavours both were yum, paired nicely with a spanish red wine. Share lemon meringue for desert. Staff friendly, nice atmosphere. Will be back 👍

A great place to catch up with friends for coffee and something to eat. Always very friendly and welcoming, coffee and food are A1.

The owners work so hard to make your visit a great one.
Their food is lovely and prices very reasonable. The service is quick and area is clean and bright. Chairs outside for nicer days too. I love popping in for a quick coffee or a nice brekkie or lunch.
I even had my 60th birthday function there which was well catered for and the staff were brilliant.
