Starhaven Retreat

Highly recommend Starhaven Retreat for a romantic time away. Stayed in the Haven suite with views of the City skyline. Everything provided on site no need to leave.

My wife Joanna and I needed a break from work. We had a voucher from Red Balloon, so we decided to look for accommodation between Geelong and Ocean Grove. We had never been to the Bellarine Peninsula before. We came across an accommodation called Star Haven Retreat at Indented Head. We were rather early, so we went to Portarlington for lunch. After lunch we arrived to the retreat. Upon arrival, we were welcomed to the retreat by the owners and shown the whole complex. Everything was perfect. There is also an elevator which was handy as Joanna has issues with her knees. Every level of the retreat was beautiful. Whatever you needed the owners were so helpful. There are so many things at the retreat. Sauna, spa, breakfast, massage, a cinema (you can use any movie that's currently available) also popcorn and ice cream. Great views. What else do you need. Everything we needed was there. We asked for restaurants for dinner and the ones provided by the owners were perfect. We were so sad to leave the retreat. My wife and I recently enjoyed a fantastic getaway at Starhaven. The property boasts incredible spaciousness, and our hosts, Rob & Ian, provided exceptional service. Our accommodations in the Haven Suite were nothing short of breathtaking. In addition to our luxurious suite, we indulged in various on-site amenities, including a few games of pool, a movie in the home theatre room, a relaxing sauna and spa, and a delightful couples' massage, all conveniently available with all the necessary facilities (took the attached photo from the Starhaven rooftop at night). Our stay at Starhaven was absolutely AMAZING. From the moment we arrived Rob made us feel so welcome. The house was breathtaking and the breakfast’s were delicious. Loved every single minute of it, from the indoor swim spa to the star lit cinema 🤩 and of course the massages, we had the most relaxing weekend. Pure bliss. Thankyou Rob and Ian

From the moment you enter this magnificent establishment you realise you are going to have a great stay. We were greeted by Rob and Ian and co host Mickey ( adorable pooch).
There are three floors with the lift near the entrance. The cinema is terrific with a four chair fully stocked bar nearby. The huge spa is something to behold and the large pool table is really good. The daily hot breakfasts accompanied by Rob and Ian along with great banter and conversation is an absolute highlight. We stayed five days in the glorious Haven Suite. Panoramic views of the bay. Two large televisions. A huge hot tub with a splendid huge shower with steam facility. A special mention of the excellent sauna facility. The beach is literally a hop and skip over the way. Tourist sites and wineries abound in the area with most a handy twenty minute drive away.
Huge thanks to the two rock stars of hospitality Rob and Ian. These gents share the love. This place has soul.

We had our ‘wow’ moment as soon as we walked through the front door of this amazing B&B. It was sublime - from the room, to dinner on the rooftop, ocean views, cinema experience to an amazing relaxing massage finished with a wonderful spa - all incredible & already planning our next visit before we left. Special mention to gorgeous pup Micky, who made the stay even more special! Thanks Rob for everything, incl the amazing breakfasts.

This place was beautiful my husband and I choose to stay here for our wedding anniversary and it was just divine! The owners IAN and ROB where so so lovely and made us feel right at home from the second that we walked in the door! Everything about this place was lovely! We watched a movie in there amazing theatre room and Rob made us the best popcorn ever! I highly Highly recommend this venue! Thanks Ian and Rob for making our stay the best stay!

Starhaven Retreat was an amazing experience. From the massive indoor swim spa, to the breath taking sun sets on the rooftop, Star haven will definitely be a little home away from home for us.

A two night stay at Starhaven retreat leaves you relaxed and glad that you left your daily routine behind. Ian and Rob were amazing , loved the breakfast chats and after just two days you feel like you have known them for a long time! Location and accomodation is excellent. If you like luxury accomodation, stylish decor and friendly but unobtrusive hosts, this is the place !! A short drive into Portarlington for restaurants and cafes.

What can I say but thank you to Robert and Ian so much for your hospitality and service you both gave us for my husbands 50th b.day it was so special that we'll never forget. We had a great relaxing and peaceful weekend.
The breakfast was amazing and so fresh. We loved the chats and laughs we had.

10 out of 10. A luxurious must stay. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by our hosts Rob, Ian and Mickey, who welcomed us into their amazing home. They were incredible hosts and made celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary a memorable one. They couldn't do enough for us, from cooking us a scrumptious breakfast, transporting us to and from Q train for dinner and arranging in house couple massge. Their home has everything to offer from swim spa pool, sauna, cinema room, pool table and bar. Great place to stay and explore the Bellarone Peninsula. Hands down the best B & B we have ever stayed at and would definitely return. Thank you Rob, Ian and Mickey for a wonderful get away.

Starhaven is a stunning property with everything provided, by hosts Robert & Ian, to help you relax and unwind. The views are spectacular, and the Bellarine Peninsula is magical.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Ian and Rob, they definitely know how to look after guests. They made us feel very welcome and we felt at home. The area is very beautiful and we’ll definitely go back.

From the moment we arrived, both hosts Ian and Rob made us feel so welcome! My husband George and I, had the whole first floor to ourselves, which included a spacious bedroom and bathroom to suit a King and a Queen, a beautiful lounge room with a fire place, billiard table that kept us entertained at nights, and a spa outside on the balcony. We had the experience to watch a movie in the theatre room gold class style with popcorn, ice cream and drinks provided. Breakfast was delicious and we both loved how Ian and Rob interacted with us and the other guests, it made us feel very welcome and at ease. The whole house is beautiful and modern and the front water views were amazing. It was the best 2 days escape getaway that we both needed in a long time, thanks to Ian and Rob’s hospitality!!!!👌

Ian and Rob are great hosts- nothing is too much trouble. Food is high quality and large portions provided.
I enjoyed the spa, sauna and not forgetting the cinema experience. Drinks at the bar, ice cream and popcorn.

Simply a delight from start to finish.

We were so warmly welcomed by Ian and Rob ( and Mickey the dog)

From the moment we arrived, they could not have done more to make our stay a memorable one.

The Haven suite was luxurious, expansive and pure relaxation.
After the steam room, the infinity spa and a glass of red overlooking the ocean from our own private balcony, we soon forgot about the stresses of the weekly grind.

As it was a long weekend, we were having difficulty finding a winery venue for lunch.
Ian to the rescue. And within minutes, had a booking for us.

Breakfast was scrumptious and the conversation with both our hosts and other guests, was a great start to the morning ( you MUST have the mushrooms)

Evenings were spent in the magnificence of their starlit movie cinema, in our recliner chairs. Unbelievably, they have their own Gold Class

What a wonderful place !!

We will definitely return.

Wow! What can I say about this gorgeous place. Location, food, hosts all 5stars hand down!
Robert and Ian are such beautiful hosts and make you feel at home with their warm greetings and so easy to have a pleasant conversation with and get to know. we were new to the area and they gave us beautiful recommendations which we tried and loved!
The room was amazing, the spa area amazing, the roof top views are amazing. We have told all our friends and family about Starhaven retreat which they are all keen to visit.
We had a beautiful cooked breakfast in the morning and it was phenomenal.
Thank you Robert and Ian for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back and we look forward to it.
