LimKopi is definitely an authentic Malaysian restaurant and not just a taste - it is a journey through the heart of street food in Ipoh. My partner and I ordered Special sauce Chee Cheong Fun for entrée following with Fish fillet Noodle soup and Crispy Egg Noodle. We were both surprised by the delicious dishes and the speed that our plates arrived. Obviously, Lim Kopi sticks to old-school vibes and brings traditions from Ipoh to Melbourne with the food. Highly recommended to visit it!

We ate Seafood Laksa and Creamy Chicken Chop, drank Kopi cold and Chinese tea. Service was friendly and fast and the food was delicious 😋 Under $50 for a very tasty and filling meals, would go back for another meal.

Great service and some of the best Malaysian food my wife and I have ever had. We stumbled upon this while we were starving looking for some Malaysian anywhere and decided to try this out. We highly recommend this place and highly recommend the cheong fun dish, the laksa, and the milo, but really, everything was delicious here and the service was great and speedy! We wish we could be back soon but we live in Chicago

Very authentic Malaysian flavour! I will recommend this restaurant to whoever needs their Malaysian cravings fixed. The curry was very thick and creamy, typical Malaysian curry flavour, must try! The sambal fried lao shu fen was delicious, it had enough wok hei and pork oil was the soul of that dish! Definitely will come back for more.

Quick and easy place to eat Asian food, especially Malaysian foods. A lot of varieties in their menu. Char Kwe Tiau with duck egg was particularly good. Quite authentic and tasty. Portion is quite big, and price is reasonable. Just don't expect great service and nice atmosphere. You just order, and eat. The place is quite clean, so that's positive. Overall good place and recommend!

Definitely a hidden gem in Melbourne, serving Malaysian food at its best. All food and drinks including Ipoh-style chee cheong fun, curry noodles with roast pork, prawn noodles (har mee), buttermilk chicken, kopi iced were delicious (we personally reckoned some were better than those in Malaysia).

This restaurant recommended by my Malaysian friend. Laksa and Har mee soup are every-time so delicious, the egg noodles I challenged today are also good. But a bit oily.
I’ll come again next time 1000%

A no-frills kind of experience. Loved the food and reasonably priced. Tried the Creamy King’s pork ribs rice, marmite chicken and lemon chicken. The pork ribs had a bit more bones than what we were expecting, but the sauce was amazing.

Looking forward to trying other menu items!

Actually a perfect breakfast, in the best traditions of Malaysia nostalgia - like Bourdain says, nothing like steaming hot bowl of noodles packed with flavourful goodness in the morning. Well balanced flavour profile, pairs nicely with kopi peng, and the chee cheong fun is executed well too, better than other competitors around town. Far better than its rating on here.

Just a shame that they seem variable on the half-boiled eggs and Malaysian toast (only on the menu in Chinese, and not actually available on my request).

Ordered a special laksa and it was delicious. The soup taste really good. Prawns, chicken, fish cakes and some veggies in it. Thick and thin noodles combined. It is quite big portion, very generous. I will definitely come back.

I have not been frequenting the Southern Cross side of the city much these days but following consistent positive feedback from friends of the Lim Kopi restaurant, I thought we’d give it a go. We’re glad we did, the food was yums and the restaurant achieved its objective of reminding us of ‘home’. The salted egg ribs and the braised noodles were delicious! The chicken wings topped things off nicely. The menu is extensive and we can’t wait to go back and try other dishes! 😋

Dropped by after dinner and. Drink for simple supper.
They close at 1030pm and we arrived at 1015pm. The staff were so friendly and sat us down. We ordered and sat till almost 11pm. Nobody chased us. Service was superb.
Very nice authentic Malaysian coffee and tea and milo. Even lemon tea was good.
Would come back again to try the food.
