Basil Leaf Montrose

Basil leaf is my all time favourite Thai place ever. Always fresh and so flavourful. Every curry is spot on! Pad se ew is the best I’ve ever had. Spring rolls are fresh and crisp. The owners are the nicest people ever and always treat you with love and respect. They always treat my kids with generosity and kindness. Great neighbourhood family run goodness!! You won’t regret.

Came here 2 times in 10 days and I live in Melbourne near CBD. Its that amazing a place. Fresh food, good service and they make it with extra love once they know you love the food there. Recommended. Authentic Thai.

Basil leaf Thai restaurant in Montrose is such a fantastic place to dine in or take away. The host was so lovely and the food was of top quality and plentiful. Highly recommend to anyone that loves Thai food with great service. The prices are so reasonable and servings are large.

My favourite Thai food!! Dad and I love our takeaway nights from the Basil Leaf. As a vegan I don't miss out at all. My favourites are the Deep fried tofu and cashew nut stir fry veg. The people that own the restaurant are so so lovely, highly recommend!

We just had takeaway here. Previously the food was reliably good. However tonight’s meal crated by new owners was DELICIOUS!!!! My serve of Roti with satay sauce was small but very tasty. Green chicken curry smooth, full of flavour and a kick of spice. Chicken with pepper & garlic sauce was a milder option and would definitely have this again.

Lovely service and delicious authentic Thai food. Our favorite was garlic and spicy wok fry fish fillet.

We are thinking of buying house in Montrose just so we closer to this Gem of a Thai restaurant. The food is so authentic.. There is nothing out of the freezer here. The dishes are dancing with fragrant vesty herbs, and the flavours are delectable. The host and staff make you feel like family. 🙏🙏

Rarely you find top quality with quantity... the dishes are refined. Such an enchantment for your taste bud. We never managed not even in Thailand to find dishes so beautifully executed. Loads of fresh herbs, lean excellent meat and yummy presentation. Great value for money. We are really very lucky to have them here.

This locally owned family run restaurant my favourite place to eat. The food is amazing, from the soups and fried rice to my favourite; the Phud Kee Mao. This is the most authentic tasting Thai food in I have ever had. There is nowhere else where you can get Thai food as good and authentic as this. The staff are really friendly. It is always pleasure to go there.

Love the fresh authentic food. Main dishes are very generous size. the owner has the sweet heart and offer the best service. I'll definately happy to come back here.

Guess what? This is one of the Dandenong's best-kept secrets . Takeaway is best as the joint is small for dine in specially for big groups. The food is scrumptuous and you can taste the TLC factor. This is a cash-only joint but don't fret as they'll always give you the sums over the phone when you order. So pick up that phone and ring your order now 🤫
