Beautiful caving experience, some tight squeeze spots but well worth doing to see the Glow worms and beautiful geology

Heaps of fun to be had exploring the cave systems... be prepared to get a bit muddy and quite wet. Allow 1.5 to 2 hrs if not in a tour as there are lots of dead ends. There are a few glow worms to be found, just have to sit in the dark and let your eyes adjust.

I went through with a tour company called Adventure Merchants, was very good. Definitely wouldn't have been able to get all the way in and out without them, never done caving before though. You do get wet and muddy and were some tight crawling spaces and tricky paths to follow. Wouldn't recommend for anyone with back injuries. Saw some glow worms which was good.
Only negative was the dirt road there, is only wide enough for 1 car. So not sure what would happen if I had of come across a car coming the other way.

As a caver myself I would recommend contacting one of the tour providers who can take you through this cave safely. You'll see more and learn more that way! If you do decide to go through without a tour guide.. make sure you wear some sort of helmet, take 2 light sources and wear long protective clothing. Be prepared to get wet feet and always go with a friend. let someone know where you are going so they can alert emergency services if you don't make it out in a timely manner.

If you enjoyed caving and think you might want to take it up as a hobby contact the Victorian Speleological Association. They are a caving club and NOT a tour provider.

We recently took on the caves with Paul from the adventure merchants. Would absolutely recommend doing a tour through with him as you get to do so much that you couldn't without someone with his knowledge. We wouldn't have made it past the entrance without him. There's some tight squeezes and freezing water but it was a great challenge of a beginner cave

If you are an experienced caving enthusiast. This boulder cave is definitely designed for you. You need to have a helmet, torches and be willing to crawl, go through tight spaces and not be afraid of getting wet or dirty. Best to do this activity with some friends. It's a creek so check the weather forecast before attempting it as you want the creek to be low. It's important for the guide to be an expert in this cave so you know where to go or lead you as you crawl, climb and squeeze through the various openings. It's definitely not for the light hearted and would be a challenge to even those who fit and capable.

It's a fun little cave for beginners. It's quite enjoyable as long as people follow safety procedures and guidelines. These are there for a reason. Also be mindful of the flora and fauna of the cave as the ecosystem within caves are very fragile. Any human interruption can be devastating in the long run. Best to keep to the designated tracks.

My brother Alan and I found a gap between large granite boulders over 60 years ago.
We came back with torches and squeezed into a gap entering a large area where we saw lots of Glow worms dangling.
The sound of rushing water was below us and we lit a fire to brighten the cave area. We explored as much as we dared at the time.
Ah, memories.

Beautiful Experience seeing the glowworms. The place is not marked properly. Kind of discreet and you may feel paranoid to enter the cave.

Please respect this sacred space, don't bring rubbish. But otherwise amazing acoustics and refreshing cold flowing water and spectacular wildlife.
