Turtle Head Rock

Loanly and short hike to the Rock. Good place for a picnic.

This place launched from the amazing Davies Creek. Lovely but tough steep uphill walk up to the turtle. Climb it at your own peril! Not easy to get back down!

Great view at the top. Be advised that this IS a difficult track. Do NOT go when it is raining. Towards the top you will basically need to do some rock climbing which becomes slippery when wet. If its been raining be careful if you do the full loop, as the creek at the end rises and become difficult to cross without getting partially soaked.

Gorgeous hiking spot. The road up is a bit bumpy but doable in a little car. The start of the hike is a bit steep, followed by a rock scramble up to the peak. Once you reach the peak if you do the circuit it's all down hill. There is a creek crossing towards the end of the hike. Depending on the recent rainfall or current you may have to turn around, otherwise it's fine to just wade through. Continue left and follow the arrows down the road to get back to the trail head.
