Collins Place Fish & Chips

After reading the reviews of our new local Fish & Chip Shop - recently moved to Kilsyth - my expectations were low.

I am pleasantly surprised and happy to let you know that we just had the most delicious fresh flake, potato cakes and chips! The only disappointment was the quantity of chips for a minimum of $4.

My husband had a burger with the lot, and while he wouldn't rave about it, it hit the spot.

While we waited we noted how busy the shop was, with many locals popping in and out. That's a good sign to me!

The service was friendly and we accepted their apologies for the wait - which wasn't too bad for a busy Friday night.

No disappointment here 🤗

They are getting 5 stars from me to counter-act the previous low reviews.

Still the best fish n chip shop in the area after decades. Great service, food and prices.

Regular local recommended this place. Further for us to travel but have been twice and both times the food was delicious and still hot when we got home. Our 'go to' now.

Really nice chips, lovely grilled fish and friendly staff.

Use sunflower oil, don't get that heavy in the gut feeling. Fresh, hot good, good srrvice. Very efficient.

Good fish and chips these days seem hard to come by but not if you go to collins place. Always consistent food and the staff are very friendly.

Ask for crunchy flake if you like it crumbed and fried lile a Queenslander.
Great service and generous portions, not like some others in this suburb.
